My observations and suggestions about life and stuff. Friday, June 1, 2012. Bye, Bye, Nantucket. We are on the 6:30 am car ferry headed back to “America” to our new home in New Hampshire. We said our good-byes to dear friends and threw our two pennies overboard while rounding the Brant Point Lighthouse. The Lord blessed us with a wonderful seven-month sabbatical (also known as our mid-life adventure). We have enjoyed so many new and beautiful things on this lovely island 30 miles out to sea.

It began with a sabbatical on Nantucket Island, MA and ended in beautiful Historic Franklin, TN. The time in-between has been rich from start to finish. We have experienced the beauty of island living in the off-season with hearty New Englanders. Now, we are enjoying the lovely southern state of Tennessee and its beautiful seasons. After spending over a week in Florida, we loaded up two rental cars and drove back up north to Tennessee where my brothers live. We found a beautiful, furnished apartment in downtown Franklin, and leased a new Nissan Altima. The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful home, vehicle, church, family and friends. However, I started celebrating back at Thanksgiving by going to New York City for the first time in my life.
