Tuesday, April 28, 2009. 3 Weeks Post Radiation Treatment. I can't believe 3 weeks has already gone by. A week from today, Tuesday, May 5, I go for my check-up with the Radiation Oncologist. The area that did burn has been healing up real nice. Close to be back to normal. I know I haven't been as diligent in keeping up with my blog, but these last 3 weeks I have kept myself very busy. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. I'm finished, done, burned, fried, and doing very well, I might add. My nurse, Mary, told me I should be pretty much healed in a couple of weeks and definitely in a month when I go back for my check-up. I hope I can make it that long without seeing everyone at the "Rad" clinic. They became my friends and I'm going to miss each of them. I have been blessed in so many ways. Here are a few. Monday, March 23, 2009. Side effects of Radiation Treatments. Yes, I'm finally understanding some of the side effects of "Rad" treatments. It is funny to see one side of my chest and underarm tan and the other side as white as white can be. So, along with the tan comes a small blister under my breast and ALL the creases in my armpit area and under my breast area are red and sore. Lovely, huh! Which I can use too, now.
