Wisconsin native Linda Weber Queally spent her childhood exploring country auctions, yard sales and antique shops with her mother and grandmother. And in the short, but hot humid summers, her days were filled with swimming in the cool waters of the local lakes and swimming pools. It was there that she developed a passion for art and antiques, and a lifelong love of water. Artist Statement, 2014:. This was a turning point for me. The photo was becoming the finished work, not the means to the finished work.

I traveled to Frontenay Sur Dive, in rural France, with 12 other women artists in September of 2010, topped off with a stop in Paris. The trip culminated in a show at Addison Art. In Cape Cod in June of 2011, and was featured in the June edition of American Art Collector magazine followed by a West Coast show at Segil Fine Art in Monrovia, California, in January of 2012. In my jewelry design, I find myself drawn to mermaids, not a surprise given my love of water! Must be my Cancerian nature.
