It was a course with really neat ideas for obstacles- but was difficult because some of those obstacles weren't of the best design or the best condition. Penn State Chics Dig Nerds. About the Chic and the Nerd. While the kids were at my parents house for the night/day, Jesse and I went on an adventure. We decided on going to Somerset County and hiking Mt Davis- the tallest mountain in Pennsylvania at a whopping 3,213 feet. Here it is, the tallest point in Pennsylvania:. Notice all of the laurel in the background. There was laurel EVERYWHERE. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it is part of the Laurel Highlands! I would love to see them all in bloom.

I told Jesse a while ago that I would find it absolutely fabulous if he would plan some adventure outings for us sometimes. And, he did! It was great. The kids went to my parents house for the weekend, as they planned themselves. Natalee was a little jealous when she found out we were kayaking! It's hard to tell here, but I loved the rocky hillside behind me. Behind us is the ridge that I love to go mountain biking on.
