I haven’t posted in a few months (as per ushe) because, well, this time, I got married, and that kind of took up a lot of my time in addition to a busy summer of New Student Orientation at work. But I do want to try to write more now that the wedding planning is over! And I have so many things to share, like. More tweets from the past. You are comment...

I started this post back in February, but I’m going to publish it now! Greg is currently enrolled in Fuller Seminary’s Master of Arts in Global Leadership. So since we’re terribly sappy newlyweds who can’t be apart for more than five days, I went to visit during the middle weekend. Spent the afternoon at the Garden of the Gods.

Give me a word, any word | MARINAvsWriting
https://marinavswriting.com/2014/05/12/give-me-a-word-any-word
Who is Marina Shifrin? Who is Rachel Francis? Is there any way to write something here that isn't going to sound ridiculous? Give me a word, any word. If I’m ever on the cover of a magazine I’d request to get my armpits airbrushed, my left breast photoshopped so it’s even with my right and I’d possibly get some adult acne removed. But I know, for a fact, I would never want my words to be photoshopped. Okay, sorry. That was so unprofessional. None of that nonsense will be in my book. You essentially get t...
Aprovecha El Día: To whom shall we go?
http://aprovechareldia.blogspot.com/2011/02/to-whom-shall-we-go.html
191;Aprovecha El Día? To whom shall we go? One of the most glorious things I have experienced is seeing someone start following God. One of the toughest things I have experienced is seeing someone abandon God. For me, this raises questions about the legitimacy of my faith and the realness of a faithful God. It sucks, and it's hard to watch. I'm tearing up even as I'm writing this stupid blog post. I'm not completely sure why this issue hits me so hard. Jesus asked the Twelve,. So, I have my answer to Jes...
Aprovecha El Día: March 2011
http://aprovechareldia.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
191;Aprovecha El Día? The topic of this blog is unity in Christ. I didn't really understand that would be the topic until just now. The main idea is that we are all on the same team (pardon the metaphor) because of Christ. My views on two specific things brought about this topic and showed me its truth. We do something really well, but someone else gets commended for doing the same thing.and we think, "What the crap? I did that too! Thursday, March 24, 2011. What joy am I supposed to have with all this?

191;Aprovecha El Día? What god drove us apart? What god would damn a heart? What god drove us apart? Rise Against, "Make It Stop". I just bought the new Rise Against album, and I wanted to write about this song called "Make It Stop." The song is about boys who have committed suicide for being teased and bullied in school for being gay. What I can do is work to change this for future kids. I can talk about this kind of stuff with them. I can set an example by not tolerating name-calling, teasing, ...Whate...
Aprovecha El Día: May 2010
http://aprovechareldia.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
191;Aprovecha El Día? Unfortunately, like the majority of us guys, I spend around 92.7% (or whatever the number is) of my conscious thought on the opposite sex. Not that this is that terrible of a thing, but the fraction of my life that this consumes is way higher than it should be. At the same time, it's scary as hell. To have to open up and completely vulnerable with someone is a bit terrifying. It's a crazy risk to take. It's also a beautiful risk very well worth taking. And what did he do to deserve.
Aprovecha El Día: September 2010
http://aprovechareldia.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
191;Aprovecha El Día? The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought the field.". The kingdom of heaven, whatever that means, is so amazing and important that Jesus describes it with this little analogy. The man finds a treasure. It's far more important than anything he has, so he sells all his stuff to make sure that he gets the treasure, which is the kingdom of God. God has given me some money.
Aprovecha El Día: What joy?
http://aprovechareldia.blogspot.com/2011/03/what-joy.html
191;Aprovecha El Día? Tonight at Canvas Group, we sang a song with the lyrics, "What joy! What joy for those whose hope in the name of the Lord! Scanning the faces in the room, I wondered why everyone seemed so somber while we sang about this joy we have. What joy am I supposed to have with all this? It's not the first time I've prayed a prayer like what I'm about to type. I have prayed it several times throughout the years that I've been trying to follow God. Is free will that important that you would l...

191;Aprovecha El Día? Analysis of a Despedida. It feels so weird when you spend all your time with a group of people, then all of a sudden, you don't see them at all, and maybe even never again. It's like when a boyfriend and girlfriend break up. One moment, they are the most important people to each other.next, they are barely in each other's lives. And I had the realization a few days ago that this upcoming set of goodbyes will undoubtedly be the most difficult I've had to do. Hands down. Tuesday, Augu...

To you readers who are in a completely different life sp...

Just another WordPress.com site. Asymp; 1 Comment. It has been a few days since I have arrived back from my glorious trip to England. Oh how glorious it was indeed. I wasn’t quite ready to come back, as it was a quick paced and busy trip. And boy, do I LOVE ENGLAND! I arrived in England last Monday night, and we hit the schedule pretty hard on Tuesday morning when Fran’s daughter Lily ran through the door at 8:30 and says “WHERE’S LINDSAY! Basically, Lily is the most fun and HILARIOUS. Asymp; 5 Comments.
Summer in Seoul
Monday, August 31, 2009. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Well I am on the eve of my last night in Seoul. Since I really haven't seen anything new I have been making a list of Korean customs, or things that I think are note worthy of the Korean culture. So here goes:. These are pictures of Korean dresses I saw in a store window. Plot in the mountains or in a pasture, because space is limited. Vehicles for funerals have black balloons on them. Plots on a hillside. 5 Korean education - education to Koreans is VER...
