http://benandelkie.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
November 24, 2013. 2 Weeks after celebrating with Caroline and Will, we wrapped up the summer of weddings with Laney and Graham getting married on September 7, 2013. Again, family and friends came to Raleigh to be with them on their special day. The Scalf's came to town and were able to stay at our neighbors house.(thank you, Co! So we took advantage of being pretend neighbors for the weekend with lots of cousin time :). Had to get a mirror selfie with the groom. There were so many personal touches added...

February 17, 2014. Liam's 1st Birthday Party. Let me tell you one thing, I was not prepared for the amount of pressure that comes with planning your first baby's 1st birthday party while living in the Pinterest era! My friends are pretty cute too:. After hanging out for a while and letting th...

Ben + Elkie : July 2014

July 15, 2014. I can't believe it's Gender Reveal party round 2 for the Wright family! My sisters were both able to be in town this time so they spoiled me again and planned an awesome, low key pool party for my family and fellow mom friends :). However, it wouldn't be a Branch family function without some sort of hiccup or incident that would make a funny story later. The morning of our big doctor's appointment, I woke up so excited, anxious and ready! While Ben worked on the doctor's office, Caroline s...

Growing our family. transforming our home. pursuing our passions. becoming. July 17, 2011). Thankfully, he has some great friends who decided to surprise him to celebrate! These are the guys in our couples small group. Most of them haven't known Curtis for very long, but apparently just long enough to know that there isn't anything he'd enjoy much more than some good Frisbee golf. Growing our family. transforming our home. pursuing our passions. becoming. August 20, 2011). Confession: my kitchen isn't the cleanest. I do try to keep it clean and yet the basic maintenance is about as far as I get. As proof. we had friends over recently and two of the guys ended up trying to scrub down my stove because it apparently looked that. 1 Put the burners into a seal-able bag. 2 Add half a cup (or even less) of straight ammonia. 3 Seal the bag. 5 Wipe clean with a sponge. August 19, 2011).

Growing our family. transforming our home. pursuing our passions. becoming. A quick visit and toddler kisses. July 7, 2011). Though we struggle sometimes to manage the balance between family and friends on our trips to Knoxville, we are almost always able to enjoy a visit with a few friends. This time, we had a fun dinner out with two families of friends. When the kids couldn't stay seated any longer, the dads took them outside to run around. Curtis started snapping pictures of the little ones. Loudly...

everything is different
A little over a year ago, I sat down and wrote a blog post about my high school volleyball team’s season coming to an end. I commented that I didn’t know if I would every get a chance to coach them again…. Well here I am a year later – I was hired full-time first as a teacher only and eventually as a coach. Anyways, now that another season has ended, I figured it would only be appropriate to sit down and reflect again. As you know, we lost. 12-15. To be blunt – losing sucks. But that would be ignoring a ...

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Hiking with Grandpa 3/09. We decided to go hiking with my dad across the street from his house. It was a beautiful day. Just the right temperature. The kids had a blast. We had a Riley with us. Of course we posed them tons and took lots of pictures. We also saw deer while we were out there. Hiking in the desert and we ran into deer and no rattlers. Weird! We will be sad when dad moves and we can't just walk across the street to go hiking. Sid - 9, Cait - 7, Sammy - 5, Davis - 3.
