I wrote this post very late at night on June 21st . but after I lost it all, I was too exhausted to finish it so I saved it and just now finished editing it. To help me at one of my tradeshows. Me too. and the tears streamed down my face - thank goodness for big sunglasses! Congrats to Mike and Karianna! Pics to come . Heading to 5th Grade.

AND drumroll . her project earned her a 3rd place in 5th grade at her school. She was excited and we were pleased with her hard work. She received a big white third place ribbon that MADE her day! Then the next day she found out that she gets to move onto the district level! She was one of them! She is TRULY on cloud nine! Way to go Alyssa! We are so proud!

We stayed in a small home near the town of Volcano. We spent the first day seeing the volcano from a car and by foot. Steam vents were the first thing we saw. This view you can see the rain forest and then the desolation of the crater in the background. You can see the top, which is where we hiked from.
