We didn´t arrive until 4pm so as to avoid the sun, but I´m just happy to get out of the house and see a little bit of the country. Forty-five minutes outside of Puerto Plata lies the town of Imbert. If you continue into the countryside and take a 10 minute hike up a dirt road you arive at the 27 Charcos (pools). November 4, 2012. I’m a week in to my Prague trip. Flying in from Kenya and landing in 6 inches of snow was quite shocking. The first order of business was to buy a jacket and a pair of gloves.
