Buffet middag er ein tradisjonsrik måte å servere på i Sognefjorden. Buffeten har varme og kalde rettar. Dei kalde rettane er fisk i ulike variantar som dei tradisjonelle røykelaks og gravlaks til grava uer og hai. Det er ca. 10-15 ulike kalde fiskeanretningar. I tillegg kjem kjøttanretningar, salatar og brød. Ein svært viktig del av buffeten er dessertane, heimelaga kaker, heimelaga puddingar, frukt, ost og kjeks. Kjem ein frå Bergen kan ein ta ferja frå Gudvangen til Lærdal, ca 3 timar, ein båttur gjennom verdas vakraste fjordlandskap. Eller køyre Snøvegen Aurland - Lærdal, 1300 m.o.h., med fantastisk utsikt til Jotunheimen og Sognefjorden. Frå Oslo eller Bergen kan ein også ta fly til Sogndal. Flyplassen i Sogndal er ca. 45 minuttar frå Lærdal.

Buffet dinners are a long-standing tradition in the Sognefjord region. The buffet includes hot and cold dishes.
