Rambles a la Myriam: December 2006
http://skmyriam.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Rambles a la Myriam. Friday, December 22, 2006. Don't I know you from somewhere? It's so nice to be off work and enjoying the company of some fellow Canadians. Sara and Jenny (2 CGC volunteers in Namibia) joined me in Cape Town last week and this past Tuesday we flew to Joburg on our way to Mozambique! I stopped in at an orphanage ( TLC). To see my friend Simon who is volunteering there for a few months! I think that was enough snow to tide me over until. well next October/November! I can handle that.

Rambles a la Myriam: July 2006
http://skmyriam.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Rambles a la Myriam. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Well, I've left the beautiful coast in Simonstown and moved into a suburb of Cape Town called Pinelands. Sunday night I was introduced to my host family for the next two weeks. A wonderful couple named Colin and Lynda Gous and their daughter Rochelle. They've been so accomodating to me - Lynda even did my laundry! And they have two very friendly dogs too! It will definitely be an interesting experience. So far we're just working on the proposal to get fu...

http://skmyriam.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Rambles a la Myriam. Wednesday, November 15, 2006. Long time no see. Wow - time is zooming by. It's been so long since I've been able to sit down and catch up on internet business. I've had many many adventures since September! I've actually added it up to be over 125 hours of bussing these past few weeks. It all started with SCORE midterm training at a beautiful game reserve. We trained during the day but in the evenings we had an amazing game drive, fire side wine and waterfall showers! Well, I took my...

Rambles a la Myriam. Thursday, November 03, 2005. Yikes, my first post! So, this is my attempt to keep in touch with friends and family. I'm leaving my "home" here in Toronto and heading off to Cape Town, South Africa. Someone told me the other day that it's just like going to Vancouver. in Africa! I'll have to see for myself. No matter where I go though - i always proudly proclaim my prairie roots. Hence the lovely Saskatchewan flag over here. Posted by Myriam @ 8:16 AM. View my complete profile.

Rambles a la Myriam. Thursday, January 18, 2007. Community Visit to Kuebung. A few more pictures from my 2nd community visit to the village of Kuebung. It is an extremely rural area without electricity, indoor plumbing or network. It is such a beautiful place! I was there for 3 weeks in October to run a tournament, meet with women about an outreach program and organize women's netball. These are the chefs cooking for EVERYBODY! They made so much food! Posted by Myriam @ 10:52 PM. And here I am at the top!

Rambles a la Myriam. Sunday, August 27, 2006. Well, as much as I've been enjoying Cape Town and its many pleasures - it is time to get to work. I've been spending my day time in the SCORE head office but haven't had too much to do up until this past week. On Thursday I finally got my job description! Can't wait for that! Things are really starting to pick up - and time is going so fast! I'll be back in Canada before I know it! Posted by Myriam @ 3:38 AM. Beauty of Cape Town. Oh and the food. My taste...
