MOBILE PHONE HANDS-FREE CAR KITS. As of 1st December 2003, it is a specific offence to use a hand-held mobile phone whilst driving. The penalty for doing so is a fixed £30 fine or up to £1000 on conviction in court (£2500 for drivers of goods vehicles, buses or coaches). There are plans to make the offence endorsable with three penalty points and a £60 fixed penalty in due course. Our qualified engineers carry out all installation work in accordance with MPT1362.
