Torsdag 26. november 2009. School's out for summer! Arnold Kizito with his term card, ready for the holidays. Empty dorm. Imagine what it looks like when it's filled with students! Carrying the mattress to the car. We packed and picked up all their belongings from the dorm rooms, filled up the car and drove back to Kisubi,. Tormod carrying more luggage to the car. Stopping on the way to get some ice cream to celebrate:). Yesterday I went to Budo for the annual Christmas lunch for teachers and students.

Mandag 12. oktober 2009. It has been a great first week in Kampala! It is really true what they say on the VisitUganda web site; Uganda has got very nice sunny and rainy weather. Sometimes even at the same time:). Tomorrow I move to Kings College Budo for a few days. To get to know my way around there as well. And soon it's time to start working:). Abonner på: Innlegg (Atom). Torsdag 10. desember 2009. End of term 2009. Back from 10 fun and relaxing days at Zanzibar, just in time for the end of term staff meeting at St. Joseph. All the teachers assembled together in the main hall, discussing students and their grades, good and bad things that happened this term and making plans for next term. Yesterday we had a FK get-together at Budo, a very nice combined meeting and lunch with former participants Tormod and me of course:). Tormod and me at the Millenimum Gardens at Budo.

Søndag 14. februar 2010. There are plenty of exiting things going on, both during the day and in the evenings and I am looking forward to a busy and fun first term. The staff room at Budo. Geoff reading about difficult people and how to deal with them. The work in the dorm is done mainly by students from St. Joseph and their teachers, and it is a very good learning experience for the students. Tiling around a shower in the girls' bathroom.
