Is a small standalone applet that can be used on any GNOME desktop environmnent. It fetches periodically readings of the current outside temperatue in Modena, Italy. And displays them in a separate window or in the icon overlay. Is written in C and makes heavy use of the GTK. Framework. It uses the RRDtool (written by Tobi Oetiker) and is written in Perl. Munin has a master/node architecture in which the master connects to all the nodes at regular intervals and asks them for data.
