We carried about 13KG each, and our packs contained plenty of freeze dried food (especially flavoured mash potato) as well as all the camping gear. Coast to Coast (East to West). C2C’08 – Day 2. The Lion Inn, Blakey. 135 miles (22 Km). I heard the sound of steam engine at Grosmont NYMR (North York Moor Railway). So had to see the spectacle of a Steam Engine puffing out before beginning the walk. I was wondering why there were no other curious beings on platform to witness this spectacular machine with huge pistons moving forward.
