Collaborative Divorce Coaching

Collaborative Divorce Coaching is a process that helps couples, who have decided to end their relationship, to sever their marital bonds amicably and avoid going to court. The main goal is to resolve conflicts in a way that is in the best interest of everyone in the family and thus to preserve the relationships for the post-divorce period. In the role of a child specialist, I am able to assess and advocate for the children's needs and communicate those needs to both parents.

Lisa Makstein, a licensed certified clinical social worker, has been a psychotherapist in private practice for nearly 30 years. Ms. Makstein graduated with honors in 1976 with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan. In 1979, she received her Master’s degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and is a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland and Virginia.
