The blog of a twenty-something sticher-doodler…. March 29, 2010 • 5:41 pm. 002: “Now, Voyager”, 1942. By Life and Land Ne’er Granted. Sail Thou Forth to Seek and Find. 8211; Walt Whitman,. Ahhhhh. It’s one of the ultimate melodramas of the 1940s, a source of inspiration to put-upon women everywhere, and smoking was never sexier. The blog of a twenty-something sticher-doodler…. April 22, 2010 • 6:17 pm. Louise Brooks is my heroine. Not sure why because it could be said that she completely messed up her life good style but I admire her hedonistic, “don’t give a shit” attitude. She was instinctive, intelligent, free and impossibly beautiful and cool. The ultimate flapper…maybe. Why I went to Berlin last year I was hoping to channel some of her “Lulu in Berlin”-ishness. Unfortunately, flu put paid to that. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
