Not my father's socks: May 2011
http://notmyfatherssocks.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Not my father's socks. A blog about knitting and life in general. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Although there is snow, there are signs of Spring. A pair of mourning doves are making a nest under my kitchen window. There is constant activity as they bring twigs and grass from the yard to the bush and weave it all together to make a nest. Four kittens were born last night in a basket in my dad's garage: two gray ones, two gray-and-white ones. The hollyhocks are beginning to grow. Prom I saw the limousines.

Musings of the Needle Beetle. Sunday, December 28, 2008. Santas let loose in Burlington. I promised to show pics of my favourite petal/flower dishcloths before wrapping them up for friends for Christmas. However, I was in such a rush that completely forgot to take the pics. Duh! So, to make up for my oversight, I will provide links to those faves instead, I love making them and hope you try them out too:. Http:/ www.groupepp.com/dishbout/kpatterns/petal.html. Black Bug Ballyhoo: September 2008
http://blackbugballyhoo.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Musings of the Needle Beetle. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Run and Knit, Knit and Run. Besides knitting, I've also been running. Here's pics of my bib numbers from the Beamsville Bench (August 9th) and the Laurier Loop (September 21st), weird how they're both numbered 301. I ran 5k in both, Beamsville I clocked 27 min 55 secs and in the Laurier Loop, 27 min 21 secs. I'm getting better. For my efforts this past weekend I won 1st place female in the Overall Masters category. I'm stoked! It's all about me.

Black Bug Ballyhoo: wow, time flies
http://blackbugballyhoo.blogspot.com/2010/06/wow-time-flies.html
Musings of the Needle Beetle. Saturday, June 19, 2010. Wow, time flies. Sorry, no pics for this one, but I promise, cross my fingers that eventually I will find time to be "more timely" with my posts. Aarggh, life really does get in the way, but it's all good. 2 new designs are in the works, I've had a hankering to design something with a fantasy theme in sock yarn, and that is in the works, as well as a lacy top with Clea #10 crochet cotton. Tiny stitches makes for a happy Needle Beetle. :-).

Monday, February 14, 2011. Granny Squares - how I love you! Last summer, I crochet a HUGE granny square blanket for my older daughter, made with about 24 balls of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino yarn on a 3.25mm hook. It was time consuming, super duper fun and the results are spectacular if I do so say myself! I had alot of odds and ends of colours leftover so I made her a matching pillowcase:. Apparently I can't seem to get enough of crocheting granny squares, so here is the start of another one:. Unlike alot o...
