BOOK LUST: March 2011
http://booklust-lisa.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. One word sums up this book: wow. Though not the least bit a fan of war stories, I kept running across this book on bestseller lists. I finally read one review that said something to the effect of "You don't have to appreciate a good war story to appreciate this amazing story." So the next time I was at the bookstore and saw this book on the front shelves, I bought it. From the first page, I was utterly sucked in to the story of Louis Zamperini. Read this. You won't be sorry.

BOOK LUST: Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter (novel)
http://booklust-lisa.blogspot.com/2011/09/crooked-letter-crooked-letter-novel.html
Sunday, September 18, 2011. Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter (novel). Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter. The story examines the question of how damning circumstantial evidence can be, especially in the court of public opinion, and how damaging utter alienation can be to a person. Suspenseful, haunting, and vividly told, this story kept me reading late into the night. Highly recommended. September 20, 2011 at 7:16 PM. I wonder if that related to the story in any way. Sounds like youve found a really good one.

http://booklust-lisa.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Ellen Gleeson is a successful newspaper reporter and a single mom. The story opens with her juggling the daily routine of working mom . coming home from a day of work, hands full with mail, briefcase and Chinese take out for dinner. Only, something in the mail draws her attention. Have you seen me? This book was lent to me by a friend who raved about it. The book sounded good, but as a mother of an adopted child I have to admit I was hesitant reading anything that challeng...

BOOK LUST: August 2011
http://booklust-lisa.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. This Life Is In Your Hands (memoir). This Life Is In Your Hands: One Dream, Sixty Acres, and a Family Undone. In times of overload, I've joked about going to live "off the grid." Don't most of us, just once in a while, fantasize of abandoning the stress and frustration of modern, busy life in favor of something simpler, of getting back to basics? And Continuing the Good Life. If there's any lesson to be had from all of this, it's that life follows you wherever you go. Was a life...

BOOK LUST: The Diaries of Adam and Eve
http://booklust-lisa.blogspot.com/2011/09/diaries-of-adam-and-eve.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. The Diaries of Adam and Eve. The Diaries of Adam and Eve. As an avid reader and a book blogger, I should have been more on top of the fact that this week has been designated as Banned Books Week. Accounts, and let them decide for themselves what is worthy, what is true, and what has value. I only recently became aware of Eve's Diary. A soliloquy written by Mark Twain very early in the twentieth century. Apparently, Eve's Diary. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Blog: My Mind...

BOOK LUST: I'm Moving - Please Follow Me!
http://booklust-lisa.blogspot.com/2011/10/im-moving-please-follow-me.html
Tuesday, October 11, 2011. I'm Moving - Please Follow Me! I'm calling it quits. Sort of. When I started this blog a couple years ago, I envisioned a group of friends sitting over virtual cups of coffee and tattered paperbacks, chatting about books and swapping them with each other. It never really panned out to become that, although lots of great reviews were posted by various contributors, most who quickly came and went. I hope you'll follow me to my new digs! BOOK LUST: June 2011
http://booklust-lisa.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Following up In The Woods. Though I was disappointed that some unresolved issues from In The Woods. Were not actually resolved in this follow-up novel - this isn't a sequel in the sense that it continues the story from the previous book; rather, it's an entirely new case with some of the same characters from the previous book - this was another book I could sink my teeth into and that had me turning pages late into the night. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys mystery/thrillers.
