Lisa's Tiny Kitchen: February 2015
http://lisastinykitchen.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 6, 2015. Recipe: Baked Steel Cut Oats. These past few weeks I have been joining in on the "mini-pledge" from 100 Days of Real Food, one of my favorite blogs. If you haven't checked it out you should. This week's pledge was to try two new "whole foods" that you have never tried before. Surprisingly, this was hard for me because I have tried so many! I wish I could say this recipe was all my own, but sadly it's not. The original is here. Baked Steel Cut Oats. 189; cup (or desired. 3) In an...

http://lisastinykitchen.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 5, 2013. It's been awhile since I used this blog. But I have decided to start again, because I want to share recipes with you all! One of my summer goals is to try 1 new recipe a week. Last week's recipe? Chicken Breast (2 - 3, cut into strips). 1 onion, halved and sliced. 1 cup celery, cut. 1 green pepper, cut into strips. 2 cups of pineapple tidbits or chunks (1 large can). 11/2 teaspoon soy sauce. 2 Tablespoons margarine or oil. Other veggies of choice (I did green beans).
Lisa's Tiny Kitchen: December 2014

Monday, December 22, 2014. Recipe: Italian Chicken Panini PLUS Tomato Soup! Man, it has been a long time since I posted a new recipe. I haven't been making as many new things lately though - random experiments but nothing worth sharing. Today though, I have a recipe that I came up with completely from scratch and got completely positive reviews from my family. To make 5 paninis). 5 chicken breasts, cut and trimmed. 1 loaf of french or italian bread. Garlic butter (either homemade or bought). To go with t...

Monday, January 18, 2016. Food Review: Marion's Kitchen Thai Kits. Today's post is a quick review of a product I tried last week. I recently purchased a Marion's Kitchen Thai kit. At my local Kroger on clearance. I had seen them before and was curious, but would never have paid full price for it. So yellow sticker clearance made me pretty excited. Chicken (or protein) is sauteed in the paste, then the milk is added, along with potatoes and onion. As it simmers, you add the peanuts and spices. Overall, I ...

Italian Sausage Tacos with Chard and Zucchini. To make about 4 tacos). 1 lb of ground italian sausage, divided (I used about 1/4 lb for my four tacos).

The Knitting Artist : February 2016
http://knittingartist.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Note - these are all cell phone photos because my fancy camera died on me). I hope that you are all having a great week. Mine is going by fast yet steady - keeping busy but not too busy. Stuff is getting done that's for sure! Well lets just say you probably could have gone down a size and still been good. The first is my Purple Opals. A project I did a little under a year ago with Cascade Ultra Pima. A boxy, super drapy tee that is at least 5 inches too round. Yarn This one ...
The Knitting Artist : July 2016
http://knittingartist.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 4, 2016. Here it is: July. The year is officially more than half over and man is time going fast. I always find myself thinking there isn't enough time to get things done, and that nothing is getting done. And then I go to write up a blog post and discover that maybe things are, in fact, getting done. I finished my "Gone Fishing". Something else that I finished was a quickie wedding gift f. To be close growing up. I made four dishcloths with Rowan Cotton. S in Austin. I had never been to...
The Knitting Artist : March 2016
http://knittingartist.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 19, 2016. I barely do, having not been an 80's child. I do remember mix CD's but that's not even the same. I have fond memories of recording myself singing crappy stuff on my dad's tape player however. Some days I even find myself wishing to go back to those days. I am rambling today because my life is pretty much at that point - a MixTape of emotions and events and really no clear definition. Ever feel that way? I guess it starts with these mitts,. With a lace mohair. For dementia patien...
The Knitting Artist : Day by Day
http://knittingartist.blogspot.com/2016/05/day-by-day.html
Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Isn't life crazy sometimes? I feel like all of the days just sort of blend into one long day. Take, for example, my 50 hour work week last week. How did I survive that? I don't know, but here I am, back at it again this week. Enough about work, lets talk about something more important: Art! So many things are still happening around here, where do I begin? I'm titling these socks "Gone Fishing. Speaking of Etsy, my shop was recently featured on My Sister's Knitter Blog. Not that y...
The Knitting Artist : Because it's Friday
http://knittingartist.blogspot.com/2016/06/because-its-friday.html
Friday, June 10, 2016. And that's all the excuse I need to update. Ok actually I needed to have things to share. I don't want to post and not have anything new to report. Luckily, I am FINALLY getting stuff done around here. This painting for example. It has been on my easel for much longer than it needed to be, mostly because I have only been hitting studio once a week. I want to blame work, but let's be honest, I'm just lazy. Luckily, I finished it this morning :). And Vintage Modern Knits. I posted a ...
The Knitting Artist : April 2016
http://knittingartist.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 29, 2016. Maybe blogging should just be a monthly thing, as it seems that's all I really have time for these days. Between 30 hour (and split shift) work days, teaching after school and all my volunteer commitments, life just seems too busy to sit down and blog regularly. But that doesn't mean things haven't been happening around here, for they definitely have. Just not the same ways they used to. The question is, what will I ply it with? I want to maybe do something shiny, silver. My art c...

The Knitting Artist : 2017: [Another] New Start
http://knittingartist.blogspot.com/2017/01/2017-another-new-start.html
Monday, January 2, 2017. 2017: [Another] New Start. I said this last year when I switched the layout and name of my blog to The Knitting Artist, but I want to start fresh. Blogging has always been an important way for me to share my feelings and ideas about art, knitting and life. It's just that there have been so many other means to do so lately that somehow the blog got pushed aside. I wanted to start with a look back at the year that was. And the "Texas Sea Glass". The gallery space was a very long sp...

Monday, August 15, 2016. Insert Title Here About My Crazy, Stressful Life. Sigh Welp, another month has gone by and another blog has sat un-updated. I guess that's life. I do love blogging, but the amount of work that goes into formatting photos, coming up with comments and just posting can sometime deter my interest. Add the fact that I have TWO NEW JOBS and well, you get the point. But seriously guys, I have Two New Jobs! I feel like my life as an artist is finally going places. Talking about Tour de F...

Knick-Knacks and Knickers.
A little of this. A little of that. It usually ends up with something about my knickers. Wednesday, January 08, 2014. She had wanted to have 2 full school years off, but because she miscalculated she will come back after a year and a half. What struck me was she was saying that by the time she realized her mistake, they had tried to get pregnant and BAM she was pregnant. I'm not sure what my face was because I was just gob-smacked. I know people get pregnant easily. I do. It's just one of those things.
