Turner Family Chronicles: December 2011
http://turnerfamchronicles.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Amelia's Big Girl Room and the New Nursery. We bought her a new twin bed and some new furniture. And Martin spent a whole weekend painting her room a beautiful raspberry pink! She loved that it is her favorite color and she got a new "big girl" bed. I'm still in the process of decorating it and putting some finishing touches on the wall, but here is a cute photo of her in her new room. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Thank you Tia Norma!

Turner Family Chronicles: January 2012

Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. New Year's Eve isn't quite the party scene for us as it used to be. Now we spend a quiet evening at home with Amelia, make a great dinner, get a movie and plan for a relaxing New Year's Day. Too bad Amelia is not adventurous in her food choices, because we had an excellent surf 'n turf dinner with a beef tenderloin and crab legs! The other day she was jumping on her trampoline while I sat and watched. Me (almost in tears): "Baby, you ...

Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Friday, January 14, 2011. Austin in the New Year. Where are we now? We are officially in ATX (Austin, Texas)! Thank you to all of our friends and family who have supported us over the last year, helping with the move, helping take care of me and Amelia and for understanding that moving to a new city does not mean we are far apart. We love all of you so much and are so very grateful for your love and support. We cannot wait to see all of you in ATX soon.

Turner Family Chronicles: February 2011
http://turnerfamchronicles.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Monday, February 21, 2011. On Friday morning, Amelia was running around avoiding getting ready for school. Then she went in and sat down on the potty we bought for her a few months ago - fully clothed of course. A few minutes later we noticed she was still sitting there and concentrating pretty hard. When she got up, we noticed she had pooped in her diaper! Holy crap - she knew that to go sit on the potty to go poo-poo! Wait, there's more! I called to find out th...

Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Empire State of Mind. Where in the world are the Turners? Our sweet Lucy is still a wee little one and has many milestones to track. I already feel as if she's gotten a little short changed being the second child. She is a few days shy of being 8 months old and she has to be the cutest baby on the planet! In July, just before we moved, Amelia celebrated her 3rd birthday! Here are some photos to enjoy! Trip to the Bronx Zoo.

Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Friday, April 29, 2011. Mac fixed - all is OK with the world. This has been a crazy few months for our little family. We moved into our house, work has been crazy for both of us, I was in Hong Kong for a week and on top of everything else, my MacBook was on the blink. But now it is fixed! Praise all things holy! Then she tells Martin and I to take off our shoes and socks so she can inspect our toes. "Mommy socky off! It's so stinkin' cute. She's lost interest in ...

Born February 7th at 10:19am weighing in at 8lbs, 5 oz. She is a beautiful baby and such a good sleeper and eater. And her big sister absolutely adores her! At birth she was almost one pound bigger (Amelia was 7lbs 9 oz) and at her one month check up she was already 10lbs! Our awesome L&D nurses! She cried when Lucy was born.

Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Thursday, October 27, 2011. Pumpkin Patch and Halloween preview. I bought tickets for the kid's maze and Amelia and got about 50 feet into the cornfield when she tells me "I don't like this. I want out." Ok. So we left - luckily we hadn't gone far so I knew the way back. Her favorite part besides feeding the goats was sitting in the fire truck! Is our girl beautiful or what? Strawberry popsicle - delish! Lovin' the fire truck. She's a Maneki Neko! My friend Becky...

Turner Family Chronicles: September 2011

Kids don't come with instruction manuals. Monday, September 5, 2011. Swimming Holes of Texas. Over Labor Day weekend we found the best swimming holes! I can't believe it took us this long to investigate these gems but now that we have found them, we will be returning often. Let me also say that this summer has been absolutely brutal for heat and drought. In Austin we had over 70 consecutive days above 100 degrees! I'm glad we have these kinds of adventures to be had in our back yard. Enjoy the photos.
