Josh Morphew: Flying Trapeze!
http://joshmorphew.blogspot.com/2007/11/flying-trapeze.html
In pursuit of life. Friday, November 02, 2007. I have been meaning to post this video for a couple of months as I said I would back in August. But I have a good excuse. For failing to do so. So this is me at the Trapeze School New York. Having an absolute blast! The experience was a tons of fun and the staff at TSNY are great - I highly recommend it! Without further introduction, here goes (yes, I added the "old film" look in iMovie)! You do it.”. Wow, fantastic Josh! November 03, 2007 6:04 PM. 3:45 AM i...

Josh Morphew: Three and One Half Decades
http://joshmorphew.blogspot.com/2012/08/three-and-one-half-decades.html
In pursuit of life. Tuesday, August 07, 2012. Three and One Half Decades. If you pay attention, gaining wisdom is as simple as aging. Open your eyes and your ears and you learn a little along the way. One of the things I’ve come to learn is that experiences always trump material goods. High-end electronic gadgetry quickly becomes outdated, fashionable clothing fades from style, and novelty items depreciate faster than new cars. By contrast, a great memory only appreciates over time. Wise Tri Race Report.

Josh Morphew: The Jump
http://joshmorphew.blogspot.com/2006/07/jump.html
In pursuit of life. Monday, July 31, 2006. Careful. There's a bit of a drop to that first step. On Sunday afternoon I jumped out of an airplane 13,500 feet above Calverton, NY. Words such as "exhilarating," "amazing," "breathtaking," and "incredible" completely fail to adequately express the experience. The pictures speak for themselves. Many thanks to Salena for getting me the perfect gift! Thank you also to my jumpmaster Dunk and cameraman Adam from Skydive Long Island. PS - The video is coming soon.

Josh Morphew: Number 8
http://joshmorphew.blogspot.com/2012/09/number-8.html
In pursuit of life. Monday, September 03, 2012. I've completed seven marathons in my ten years of running. New York City Marathon (3X). It would seem I've got at least one more in me. Come 21-October, I'll be at the starting line of the Detroit Marathon. One of the only marathons that crosses an international border (into Canada). Participants are actually required to present a valid passport to pick up race packets! But the best part about this race is that I get to run it with my big brother, The Ubster.

Josh Morphew: Weekly Commitment
http://joshmorphew.blogspot.com/2012/01/weekly-commitment.html
In pursuit of life. Sunday, January 01, 2012. I decided I'd commit to running at least 20 miles per week. I figured this would put me in decent shape for the Dallas Half Marathon. And then possibly a go at the Cowtown Marathon. Well, since making that commitment my total mileage is a bit over 342 miles. Unfortunately that averages out to about 19 per week; obviously shy of my goal. Not too thrilled with that big goose egg in November either. It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan.". Josh Morphew: Winter Marathon?
http://joshmorphew.blogspot.com/2011/09/winter-marathon.html
In pursuit of life. Thursday, September 08, 2011. I'm beginning to consider running another marathon this winter; most likely the Cowtown Marathon. In Fort Worth. But before signing up, I'm trying to regain some consistency and build my base back up to a minimum of 20 miles per week. If I can maintain this foundation for September and October, I'll be positioned well to transition into a formal marathon training plan in November. Dubious given my schedule. I like the Endomondo chart. Week 2 - Gotcha!

Josh Morphew: Week 8: Yes!
http://joshmorphew.blogspot.com/2011/10/week-8-yes.html
In pursuit of life. Sunday, October 23, 2011. This morning I clocked in a solid 10 miler. I didn't run particularly fast but I felt okay and managed even splits - amazing, given the massive steak dinner and copious amounts of pinot noir I enjoyed last night. It's been a long time since I've knocked off a double digit run. Feels good. Expect nothing. Live frugally on surprise.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Husband, father, digital marketer, and wannabe endurance athlete. more. Week 7: And then some.

Live to Run - Run to Live. The chronicles of a man with cystic fibrosis just trying to live a good life. June 10, 2014. A thank you note. Post-transplant day 182 ; 6 months. A thank you note. A six-month lungaversary in the middle of a workweek doesn't give itself over to heavy celebration, but i t does to contemplation and review. Today marks the half-way mark to a year - a milestone of immense proportions. But I'm not discounting the importance of today. When I shouted into the internet void and told o...

Live to Run - Run to Live. The chronicles of a man with cystic fibrosis just trying to live a good life. May 2, 2014. Even Tumbleweeds Have Roots. Post-transplant day 143, pulmonary rehab #69. Even tumbleweeds have roots. Back in undergrad, I did the sound design for a children's musical called Conestoga Stories. I don't remember any of the songs but one - and the chorus only at that:. Packing up my Conestoga. What'll I take with me? Packing up my Conestoga. Taking my life's necessities. How beautifully ...

Live to Run - Run to Live. The chronicles of a man with cystic fibrosis just trying to live a good life. October 16, 2014. I will not remain silent. Post-transplant day #310. I will not be silent. Most importantly, my voice gives some life to the dead. And not only do I speak, but I don't just speak in the direction of those who are primed and eager to listen, my fellow CF Warriors. Rather, I write and post so that YOU, my NON-CF friends and followers can live with me . for a heartbeat. Links to this post.
