This Writing Life: Braisserie Lipp's

http://literaryexplorationsandjourneys.blogspot.com/2013/07/braisserie-lipps.html

Observations from my literary journey through this world. Thursday, July 4, 2013. Don't you know that all writers ever talk about is their troubles. Lipp's is where you are going to eat and drink too. There were few people in the brasserie. And when I sat down on the bench against the wall with the mirror in back and a table in front and the waiter asked if I wanted beer. I asked for a distingué. The big glass mug that held a liter, and for potato salad. Were gone I ordered another serving and a cervelas.

Observations from my literary journey through this world. Sunday, March 1, 2015. And I feel like that's what it's allowed me to do. I've come home rich with ideas and inspiration. The sessions we never would've attended ended up being the most illuminating. Observations from my literary journey through this world. Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Today we return to the banks of the Seine. It's refreshing journey, after going back to work and finding it more depleting than wandering 4-6 miles a day in Paris. In the latest chapter of A Moveable Feast. Hemingway talks about the People of the Seine. Looking toward the Île St.-Louis. Notre Dame from the rear. He continues "In the bookstalls along the quais you could sometimes find American books that had just been publish...

Don't say I didn't warn you! Want to read it. I did. Want to read it. I couldn't put it down. The fact that my husband was a sailor and he, me an...

http://woodglen71.blogspot.com/2017/03/georges-braque.html

Dedicated to the ponderings that pass through my mind. Saturday, March 4, 2017. I came across Georges Braque's name today in A Moveable Feast. Not knowing who he was, I went off on a search. It turns out he was a major 20th century artist - impressionist turned fauvist turned founder of cubism along with Picasso!
