http://smileyfitz.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 11, 2013. Jamestown, Williamsburg, Norfolk. more items crossed off my bucket list! The last week in July I had some flexibility (or a lot) with my work schedule and I was burned out way beyond usual. I decided to take my own little vacation and escape to southern Virginia for two days. It was perfect! I love history and the east coast is full of it! Anyway - this was incredible! He was a great story teller and knew how to keep his audience's attention! A British Flag, of course! Yes, I was...

Monday, June 24, 2013. This weekend I was SO lucky to be given my boss's season tickets to the game on Saturday! Not only did I get the 4 tickets, but I got his parking pass as well, which by the way just happens to be covered parking RIGHT NEXT to the stadium. We could not have gotten ANY closer! The weather was beautiful for an afternoon at the ballpark. Beautiful! I loved driving there and not having to take the metro, which I have always done in the past. Even though the club was air conditioned, we ...

http://smileyfitz.blogspot.com/2014/01/and-another-beautiful-day.html

Thursday, January 23, 2014. And another BEAUTIFUL day :). SF was so wonderful! And, the fun just continued :). Saturday we had a slow morning since we were out late on Friday at the game. We walked up to see the view from our roof. Pretty nice! So many places have these rooftop views from SF. It's so hilly that almost everyone has a view in one direction or another. They were SO loud! It was fun to watch them "fight" each other! They had this class earlier in the morning where people had made unique crea...

Friday, January 24, 2014. Route 1 (aka. Pacific Coast Highway. or maybe also called one of the most beautiful places on the earth! The night before I had driven from the airport to Stanford (beautiful campus) and then to Santa Cruz where I spent the night. Then, in the morning I drove down to Monterey and started my drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. Yet again, a GORGEOUS day! I would stop at basically every turnoff and just get out and take pictures. So pretty! One gorgeous view after another! The on...

Sunday, March 30, 2014. Past couple of months. Well, the first quarter of 2014 is over. It's been an interesting one. One filled with many good things and fun times, one filled with lots of cold weather and snow (but snow days too! And one amazing trip out to UT for a week. Here are the highlights! I had the privilege of taking one of my most favorite people out to lunch on her birthday! Our waiter took this picture. I think he was a little nervous and shaky b/c we were just so beautiful to look at!

Sunday, February 24, 2013. Say Yes to Love". I was introduced to this video this week. And it made me so happy I started to cry! There is SOOOOOO much LOVE in it! From the proposal to ALL of their friends and family. And the song they sing has such a wonderful, but simple, message. It was the best day of my life. 8216;Cause ever since you everything’s right. Yea, the best days of my life are all ahead. 8216;Cause we both said yes to love. Yes to love, yes to love, yes to love,. It makes me think. It's so...

Friday, November 2, 2012. What a bizarre week. but lessons learned. and that's the America I love. This time last week I could not have even guessed what the coming week would look like. The hype of Hurricane Sandy was all over the news, but deep down I didn't really think it could possibly be true. However, as the storm came closer on Sunday and the forecast didn't change much, I started to get slightly nervous. That was a new one to me. I also didn't like the sound of the wind shaking the siding and th...

Literary Reflections of an Avid Booklover

Literary Reflections of an Avid Booklover. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. I am a big fan of Isabelle Allende and enjoyed this novel, though not as much as some of her other novels and stories I have read. The first half of Daughter of Fortune kept me interested with the well-developed characters and poetic descriptions of Chile. I enjoy historical novels and feel that Allende does a beautiful job of taking us to another era in time and can almost imaging being there. Too many unclear references to character...
