Death Valley Shack: August 2012
http://deathvalleyshack.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
The lives of the succulents and cactus in the Beech Street Gardens greenhouse. Thursday, August 30, 2012. One Becomes Two and So On. Watering should be done, otherwise they will rot. One of the old leaves is that little shriveled reddish piece on the right at the base of the plant in the photograph below, at one time it was about the size of the new plant. But no water was given during this time. Labels: death valley shack. Saturday, August 11, 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Pathway To The Gardens.

Delosperma Sawdahense flower | Blueskiez
https://blueskiez.wordpress.com/2013/10/16/delosperma-sawdahense-flower
October 16, 2013 in Gardening. I’ve had this plant (compact hybrid version) since the beginning of September 2013, and it seems to be adapting well to our local hot humid environment. After clearing away the old sulking leaves, I am able to better notice the new growth on the plant, and it has even blossomed! We’ll see how it goes… But for now, it still seems to be growing really well. :). Orostachys Boehmeri ‘Keilo’. Garden by the Bay. Lithops y suculentas en Suecia. Blog of a plant-whisperer. Suddenly Tillies | The Lost Garden Gnome
https://lostgardengnome.wordpress.com/2013/03/24/suddenly-tillies
The Lost Garden Gnome. Flailing About In The Leafy Seas. March 24, 2013. All of a sudden I became owner to another 15 tillandsias. How did that happen? A bought them all for me yesterday afternoon. Someone was selling them from a makeshift stall on the street. So he grabbed a pile of them, knowing I would love to have them. And of course, none had IDs except for a streptophylla. Hunting down these tillies’ IDs are going to keep me occupied for awhile! 2 responses ». March 26, 2013 at 1:42 am. Ashley on C...

Repotting results | Blueskiez
https://blueskiez.wordpress.com/2013/08/23/repotting-results
August 23, 2013 in Gardening. Remember this pot of lithops. That I got from the Amsterdam flower market in April 2013? After I got back from Europe, I left it outside my house and has not watered it since. Finally got around to repotting these babies today. One perished since then and another was on its way out too so I only repotted the remaining 20 lithops. Work in progress… Have to carefully pry the plants apart to prevent unnecessary damage to the fine roots. Orostachys Boehmeri ‘Keilo’. You are comm...

Hello from Paris! | Blueskiez
https://blueskiez.wordpress.com/2013/04/27/hello-from-paris
April 27, 2013 in Gardening. Just reached Paris and finally don’t have to depend on the hotel wifi anymore… (I have a France Orange line with data) So I wanted to show all of you my best buy this trip so far! Not sure if they will really bloom in Singapore. The shop owners said yes, but they might have underestimated our tropical weather. Oh well, we shall see soon enough. :). Some shops were selling other variety of plants, including some tropical plants and succulents. I combed the entire flower ma...

Frithia Pulchra bloom! | Blueskiez
https://blueskiez.wordpress.com/2013/05/19/frithia-pulchra-bloom
May 19, 2013 in Gardening. First time seeing a flower bloom on my baby toes! Actually when I received the plant a few months back, I wasn’t able to find much instructions about its care, so I took things into my own hands and watered as I pleased. I must be doing something right, because it has flowered for me! Lol* But it’s ok, I am sure it will bloom again soon. :). It bloomed for a few days and closes up at night. This is the flower at night. Orostachys Boehmeri ‘Keilo’. Garden by the Bay. Hi again...
