Rockwell, Write Better: April 2014
http://www.sneti.org/2014_04_01_archive.html
Rockwell, Write Better. Monday, April 21, 2014. I'm piecing this thing together, so I jumped to near the end. Here is what I came up with. Digging your own grave is time of panic and lament. The soil for my grave smells like dry molted compost and vanishing earthworms in full retreat. Each cut of the shovel’s blade unearthed a little more of the space I will soon occupy. My mind jumped to the home I always thought I would one day build, with its fresh paint and open floor plan. As always, I fail miserably.

Rockwell, Write Better: Daisy (Part 4)
http://www.sneti.org/2013/05/daisy-part-4.html
Rockwell, Write Better. Monday, May 27, 2013. There is a terrible comfort that can be found in pillows. They hold you fixed to a specific spot. You want to stay, cradled in their false protection. They sooth you and tell you are safe. They have no way of knowing. They have no real power in our world. They talk a good story of sanctuary and they offer you reprieve from your day. For all the promises of pillows, they hold no real sway over mankind. Pillows, in and of themselves, are objects. In the darknes...

Rockwell, Write Better. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. 169; July 2015. The first of the summer regulars are setting up in the morning heat. So far the temperature is bearable, but by noon it will be sweltering. The regulars know and brace for this. They scurry about preparing by staking out their turf. Tom walks off the beach, unaware that I will spend the day trying to kill him and his family. Maybe he never will know I watch them. Enjoy your coffee Tom. What attracts me to Lydia is that she loves linen....

Rockwell, Write Better. Sunday, May 5, 2013. Daisy Gayle (Part III). I did the day-by-day thing at school. Soul and body crushing pain hadn’t changed U.S. history or my love for teaching so I soldiered through. I was able to eek joy out of the quest for knowledge and the energy of kids on the verge of becoming teens. September came and went. I didn’t even own a fish. No one would miss me today. The two cars rounded the corner at the end of the street and proceed up the hill. They were circling the gr...

Rockwell, Write Better. Thursday, March 27, 2014. Another Stab at the SNETI Pitch. A half charged smartphone. A message from beyond the boundaries of our solar system. A dead President with his pockets jammed full of chocolate chip cookies. The end of the world? Brian Wyatt made a harmless post on the Social Network for Extraterrestrials (SNETI).
