For what it's wirth. Saturday, January 22, 2011. If at first you don't love it, try, try again? I signed up for my 2nd half marathon. I’m not really sure why. I vaguely remember finishing my first and saying (in a very obvious runner’s high moment) “That was awesome! I want to do another one! 8221; But the memory is foggy and mostly overshadowed by the days of intense pain that followed. I think I said “Never again! 8221; a couple hundred times, but like I said…it’s foggy. I should do that again! I've al...

For what it's wirth...: Snow lessons
http://forwhatitswirth.blogspot.com/2011/01/snow-lessons.html
For what it's wirth. Sunday, January 16, 2011. Four things I learned during Snowpocalypse 2011:. 1 Do not mock the panic-driven pre-storm shoppers. Join them. If it turns out to be a false alarm, you have enough eggs, milk, and bread to make a LOT of French toast. Yum. It sounds like the silver one…wait…no, no it’s totally the white SUV. They’ll make it. They have made it the past 4 times. I’ll supervise just in case.”. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

For what it's wirth...: February 2011
http://forwhatitswirth.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
For what it's wirth. Thursday, February 24, 2011. But it's still MY blog. So, I got engaged. Affianced, if you will. Really, I prefer to say “We” when discussing “got engaged”, but I feel like that is also insanely obnoxious, as if trying to prove a point. Oh wait, that last one works. But on the other hand, what is more obnoxious than someone suddenly morphing into the Siamese subjective personal pronoun abuser? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. But its still MY blog.

For what it's wirth...: September 2010
http://forwhatitswirth.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
For what it's wirth. Thursday, September 23, 2010. I love Chick-fil-a. I eat there at least twice a week. I used to work there. I gave them my best years of high school. My point is this: I am pro Chick-fil-a. Side note: I am not pro Spicy Chick-fil-a sandwich. This is the one area they fall short in my eyes, and it's ok. It's ok. But I'm just saying.Wendy's has them beat on this one. End of side note. WAIT! Anyways, the crux of the matter: Chick-fil-a sauces, ready? Name a sauce, Wirth. ANY SAUCE! Would...

romance: In 24 hours I'll be flying to see Grant in China
http://lucyduggar.blogspot.com/2012/05/in-24-hours-i-be-flying-to-see-grant-in.html
In 24 hours Ill be flying to see Grant in China. This time tomorrow, I'll be checking my bags, reading on my Nook app, and settling into my gate and terminal before I embark on a 15-hour journey to Shanghai by way of Moscow. Grant is in the middle of spending about 8 weeks in China as a rotation of his MBA program at Hult International (recently ranked top 40 MBA in the world! It's totally characteristic for God to take what could be a hardship (separation) and turn it into a blessing (sanctification).

romance: Our 4 Year Anniversary: a Day for Singing
http://lucyduggar.blogspot.com/2012/05/our-4-year-anniversary-day-for-singing.html
Our 4 Year Anniversary: a Day for Singing. Well, it's been four wonderful years for me and Grant. This time four years ago, I was at my bridesmaids luncheon and he was playing golf with his groomsmen at the country club. Then we were getting ready - me with my mama and his in the room I grew up in; he with his daddy and his closest friends near the church that raised me. I pray You'll be our eyes. And watch us where we go. And help us to be wise. In times when we don't know. Let this be our prayer. We ha...
