http://littlebabypierce.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-post.html
This week, I finally got my Christmas cards in the mail! And while I was addressing them, I couldn't help but be filled with gratitude to our Heavenly Father for granting us this opportunity. Hi friends. While I don't have time to update all of the details from yesterday (blog to come), I did want to mention a few updates and specifics on how you can pray:. 2 They have him on the EEG to monitor for seizures. So far, he has not had one, but they have decided to keep it on for awhile. Please pray he does not have any seizure activity. 3 Pray against infection- both in his brain and lungs. Posted by Nik, Lindsay and Pierce Franks. April 24, 2013 at 7:34 AM. What a strong little boy! If you follo...

Fierce Pierce: Thoughts before surgery
http://littlebabypierce.blogspot.com/2014/05/thoughts-before-surgery.html
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer." Romans 12:12. This week has held more than we ever imagined. 2 surgeries, a seizure and three hospital stays. In the past week, we've watched Pierce endure more than I think I've ever had to in my 27 years. We are all so exhausted it's hard to describe the emotions. We are so thankful for you. Every text, call, email, Facebook message- they have carried us. Tomorrow morning at 1pm Pierce will undergo another brain surgery to revise his s...

Fierce Pierce: day 118
http://littlebabypierce.blogspot.com/2011/08/day-118.html
Day 118- the most exciting news yet! Can you guess what happened? Well let me show you a picture to see if you can guess. Perhaps a video will better explain. After 118 LONG days in the NICU at Levine Children's Hospital, Pierce came home! In fact, he's sleeping right beside me as I type. And oh what a funny sight we were at the store. Bassinet- check. Stroller- check. Sheets-check. When I said we had nothing ready, I really meant it! BUT nothing was going to stop us from bringing P home yesterday. But n...

After the posting, I received lots of emails from folks asking if they could use this letter in care packages, print materials. to which I say yes, yes, yes! To make it easy, I've made an easy to print .pdf file. Please feel free to pass this letter along to anyone you may feel it would help. Letter to a new NICU mom. And thank you, for all the sweet and kind comments. On the day that P...

Fierce Pierce: when your preemie doesn't defy the odds
http://littlebabypierce.blogspot.com/2013/09/when-your-preemie-doesnt-defy-odds.html
When your preemie doesn't defy the odds. I have a dear friend, Becky, who I Skype with on a regular basis. Becky, as you'll soon learn, has a daughter very similar to our Pierce. She has been a tremendous blessing as we've navigated diagnoses, surgeries, therapy and everything related to preemies/brain bleeds/etc. So you can imagine what a gem this was when I found it in my inbox the other day! Did I not have sufficient faith? Our children, Bella and Pierce are very similar, both were born at the “...

Fierce Pierce: update
http://littlebabypierce.blogspot.com/2015/07/update_27.html
First off, thank you so much for the outpouring of support for our boy. We are so humbled by the thoughtful messages, calls and visits we've already received. Pierce is doing well. For those who don't follow us on Facebook, here is a brief recap:. Needless to say, he's been through a lot. On top of the surgery recovery and lack of mobility, he's developed an allergic reaction to the antibiotic, so that every time he receives a dose, he gets covered in red, itchy hives. It's pitiful to see. 2 For Pierce t...

Fierce Pierce: Update
http://littlebabypierce.blogspot.com/2015/07/update.html
First of all, thank you all for praying. Nik and I are just so humbled at how our community rallies around us every time we go through a crisis. We feel so fortunate to have such an incredible support system. We are sad that he has to have another surgery and tired, but we are trusting in God's goodness even in this situation. We want to thank everyone for the prayers and support. Posted by Nik, Lindsay and Pierce Franks. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sign up for email updates. Like" Us over on FB.
