For Nathan’s birthday, I decided to book a tour and wine tasting session at Brightwell vineyard. I couldn’t believe we hadn’t done it earlier, it’s just around the corner from us! The owner of the vineyard took around 10 of us, accompanied by her gorgeous big dogs (they keep away the deer who snaffle the grapes! After an hour in the rain we were more than ready to get tasting! A little bit about a lot of things. A weekend in the Kentish countryside. August 18, 2015. October 4, 2015. I took a trip home to Canterbury this weekend for a friend’s BBQ. My parents’ farmhouse is particularly beautiful at this time of year, and whilst the weather wasn’t great, the clouds were particularly striking which made for some good photographs! Who wouldn’t be a country bumpkin having grown up here, right? All the more so as my love of such villages has grown 100 fold in the last few years.
