Alexander McDaniel Johnson: February 2010
http://alexandermcdaniel.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 27, 2010. Smooth sailing to the Sunshine State. Alex took his first airplane ride to visit his Floridian family last weekend. It was a short trip for a very special occasion. His parents were terrified. However, we were pleased to find that he traveled like a pro. For instance, he checked to be sure that all of our bags were packed and ready for the flight. And he got us extra peanuts by charming the flight attendants. A very special someone met him at the gate in Tampa. See, e.g&#...

Alexander McDaniel Johnson: September 2010
http://alexandermcdaniel.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Good evening and welcome to this week's edition of Weekend Sports. With your host . Friday evening's weather was the perfect backdrop for a little pick-up game. I went three for three in the bottom of the sixth to put Team Johnson ahead of our invisible (but no less present) opponents. Team Invisible brought in four runs in the top of the seventh after I forgot to bring my glove out into the field. Where is that glove? In the bottom of the ninth, the pressure was on.

Alexander McDaniel Johnson: Blessings
http://alexandermcdaniel.blogspot.com/2011/01/blessings.html
Monday, January 17, 2011. The stores have started to put up Easter decor, so I figured it was high time I posted our holiday pictures. This year, our dreams of a white Christmas came true. And we savored every moment. At least some of us did. We had a holly jolly time in Bluefield. And then we returned to Roanoke to spend the night of Christmas Eve. Christmas morning was pure joy. Then we headed to Tampa to ring in the New Year. Alex encountered some familiar faces. As well as some unfamiliar ones.

Good Navy Wife: Traveling America
http://goodnavywife.blogspot.com/2009/12/traveling-america.html
Wednesday, December 2, 2009. We aren't out of Virginia yet! Once we got out of this state, it was smooth sailing. After a couple of days of traveling we started to get a little rummy. By the time we stopped for the evening at a hotel, I finally had to ask which state we were in. I'm sure the hotel staff thought we were drinking. I think our favorite place was a tiny place (not sure it's even classified as a town) called Canistota. City, we decided to take the next exit. There was a sign for lodging.

Sunday, June 5, 2011. When we got to the room, Dave called the front desk to ask if that means we won’t have any hot water. The lady told him that’s what it meant, and to have a nice day. Really? The hot water is going to be shut off at 6:00 in the morning and we have an afternoon wedding to go to, and they want us to have a nice day? But we love you for coming though!
