Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Friday, September 6, 2013. Let's try this again. I've been reading all the blogs about life, family, home repair, happiness, cooking, etc lately, checking out all the fancy pictures and wondered exactly how long it's been since I last blogged myself. Um, wow. Over a year and a half. Awesome. Maybe I should just wait and make it an even two years. Or maybe I should get over it. And try again. And she was all like "No!

Life in This Old Bungalow: July 2010

Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Thursday, July 15, 2010. We've got a few things - other than my belly - growing around this next of the woods. The vegetable garden has started to really take off! They used to be just lil' guys. The "Early Girl" tomato plant, dubbed the kudzu tomato, takes the cake so far. Now, all those green fruits need to turn red! The tater tot earned it's appropriate pronoun today. She was being a bit stubborn.must be Dutch. I was ...

Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Saturday, October 16, 2010. 33 weeks and counting. It's hard to believe it's already been 33 weeks and that Baby Girl Buma is about 7 weeks away from entry to the "real" world. We've been working on little things around the house.like trying to pick up after ourselves, getting things organized and packing away things that used to live in the future nursery. It's all a work in progress and it's moving slowly. Chris and I ...

Life in This Old Bungalow: June 2010
http://tobungalow.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Sunday, June 13, 2010. Last weekend, Chris and I planted our vegetable garden. We picked up our plants from a local grower that we had ordered as a fundraiser for the Gweimen Centre, an organization that helps provide assistance and education for widows and orphans of HIV/AIDS in Nigeria. First, we arranged all the containers on the back walkway. Then we filled them with stones. For drainage per Grandma Versluys' advice.

Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Sunday, October 20, 2013. My Favorite Place. In this House Part II. Anyone ready to see the actual completed front porch? In case you forgot the "chocolate" brown sill from "before", here it is again. And (insert drumroll) is the finished paint job. Here's the east end "before" complete with toddler photobomb. And here (drumroll again if you please) is the east end, all pretty and cream. Have a good one. The front porch&#...

Life in This Old Bungalow: May 2010

Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Saturday, May 15, 2010. Weeds, Weeds and More Weeds. Ugh, weeds. Plural. Thriving in the disaster of the "landscaped" area next to the stone patio/terrace under the Maple tree in the backyard. This picture was taken a few weeks ago so you'll have to use your imagination to picture how weed-infested it was. Um, because I forgot to take a true "before" picture. Doh! Isn't that kinda cool? I obviously thought so. Who got ho...

Life in This Old Bungalow: April 2010
http://tobungalow.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Monday, April 19, 2010. Yesterday, we hung new curtains in the kitchen.that I bought back in January. But they were a great deal at about $15 bucks a piece. Does that make up for the 3 months it took to hang them? The hubs hard at work with my. Drill (just had to throw that in there). He decided to play peek-a-boo. Now, we can see the backyard from the kitchen instead of having to peer over the top of the other ones.

Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Hello, Blog. It's me, Keri. So apparently having a baby puts a cramp in blogging.a year-long cramp as it so happens. Well, here's my attempt at reviving the blog. Where to start? Well, we last left off with me being 38 weeks pregnant. That's no longer the case. Clara joined our family in November 2010 and has been making us smile ever since! Little People and Megablocks scattered around just wai...

Life in This Old Bungalow: February 2010

Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Saturday, February 27, 2010. People say a picture is worth a thousand words, but how much is a paved driveway. Ours came partially grass-covered with two dirt tracks near the street and a picnic table in front of the garage. We've been throwing around ideas for what to do with our "driveway" since we moved in. One thing's for certain- we are highly motivated. To see a change. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Is there a robb...
