http://gabrielle418.blogspot.com/2011/07/my-birth-place-novi-sad-serbia.html
It is a Wonderful Life. Monday, July 4, 2011. My birth place, Novi Sad Serbia. Here are a few pictures of me on the Danube that my father took in the summer of 1943. I have no pictures of the house in Novi Sad. At the time of my birth my father, Karoly Wissinger, (Karlo Visinger, in Serbian) was working on the interior designs of the Banovina building. The architect of the building was Dragisa Brasovan. Today the building serves as the government offices for Vojvodina Region. July 7, 2011 at 7:04 PM.

It is a Wonderful Life: The skunk
http://gabrielle418.blogspot.com/2012/02/skunk.html
It is a Wonderful Life. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Yesterday morning when Ellis, my daughter's family golden retriever, went out for his morning trip to the back yard, he had a confrontation with a skunk. He lost the battle. By this time the cloud of smell was spreading through every crack, vent and opening of this 1902 old triplex. There was no escape other than going out to the freezing cold. The air is sickening - we are all gasping and gagging. One hour later, Stew returns home - the smell from hi...

It is a Wonderful Life. Friday, October 28, 2011. Happy Birthday, Elemer. Tomorrow is my brother, Elemer's, 69th birthday. He lives in Futog, Serbia, and of course, I procrastinated long enough to send him a card. It would take at least one week for the card to get there, so instead of sending him a card, I decided to put it on my blog and make it a permanent birthday present. Elemer in Novi Sad. The two of us in 1944. Aww. Our mother holding Elemer, 1943 or 1944. My family in Canada. My sister, Ildiko.

World According to Gabriella: December 2010
http://littleloewy.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
World According to Gabriella. Thursday, December 30, 2010. At Christmas Even dinner Gabriella reached over for me, grabbed my arm, cocked her head sideways and said, "Merry Christmas Mommy" in the sweetest little voice. She then did the same to Stew. She ended up sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's bed that night because she got so freaked out about the big man coming down our chimney while we were sleeping. It is a pretty scary thought. She is transitioning into PreK. Thursday, December 30, 2010.
