The Amazing Mason: I'm not dead yet
http://theamazingmason.blogspot.com/2012/04/im-not-dead-yet.html
Wednesday, April 4, 2012. I'm not dead yet. I could tell Mason thought he was supposed to feel bad but he seemed more curious. He wanted to be the one to dump Spazz in the toilet and the one to flush. He also wanted to hold my hand while we sang "I had a little turtle". Glub glub. Later when Miss D was over she asked if she could feed the fish. We had to tell her the unfortunate news. Mason explained "He ran out of batteries". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Starr Family: Party of Five: October 2012
http://thankyourluckystarrs.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Starr Family: Party of Five. Thursday, October 25, 2012. Today was ordinary. It felt routine. Felt like life. And as I get ready for bed tonight in realizing I don't ever want to forget this day. Throughout the day the kids rotate through my attention. Sometimes their needs feel choreographed and I accomplish one after another successfully. Other times it doesn't go as well. Like when Sam needs me and Mason wants an early lunch and suddenly Eli is announcing he wants to use the potty. We grabbed dinner f...

Starr Family: Party of Five: September 2013
http://thankyourluckystarrs.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Starr Family: Party of Five. Friday, September 6, 2013. Lower your expectations.and then lower them again. I heard this piece of advice about expectations recently. It was in a list of advice to mothers and how to deal with the demands of life. When I first heard it, I hated it. I balked and said well that's a great attitude. How about aiming high, doing your best, never give up? Then it got stuck in my head and I mulled it over a bit. Maybe it's good advice after all. I have a five year old? I was in a ...

Starr Family: Party of Five: Month of pictures
http://thankyourluckystarrs.blogspot.com/2014/01/month-of-pictures.html
Starr Family: Party of Five. Sunday, January 26, 2014. Oh the frustrations. I've been looking forward to sitting down and doing a really good post about what we've been up to. I've even been keeping notes and reminders of things I wanted to make sure I included. I finally have a bit of time and some quiet (I'll be peace) and of course.I can't find my notes. Double frustrating because I've been working really really. Sam doesn't want to cooperate. I finally gave him front row seat and a stack of books...

andrew, emily and avery: saturday
http://aeheaton.blogspot.com/2012/04/saturday.html
Andrew, emily and avery. Saturday, April 14, 2012. This has been a perfect day. It rained, then snowed and rained some more. Got to visit andrew at work. Read Heaven Is Here. Held my little girl as she fell asleep in my arms. Prepared my primary lesson. And went grocery shopping. Days like these make me so grateful for all that I have in my life. When I am able to sit in my clean home with the window open and smell the sweetness of rain and the cleansing it brings. Posted by a and e.

The Amazing Mason: Johnny Law and The Peacemaker
http://theamazingmason.blogspot.com/2012/04/johnny-law-and-peacemaker.html
Thursday, April 26, 2012. Johnny Law and The Peacemaker. Why doesn't he want to be a good guy? Today I got a call from Mason's teacher. She wanted to let me know there had been a fight at school involving Mason. She wasn't sure what all had happened and it was over quickly. She said Mason had been hit in the face pretty hard . I anxiously waited for his bus to arrive and ran out to meet him. No blood, bruises, or broken bones. What did you do? The answer was: Nothing. I asked him if he cried and he s...

The Amazing Mason: Homework

The Bean is growing like a weed. He's two years old and too much fun to put into words. He does not like getting stuff on his clothes, having his door closed at night, wearing shoes inside, when his stuffed animals don't sit up straight, or when his parents talk on their phones instead of playing with him.

Starr Family: Party of Five: Here's to fresh starts:
http://thankyourluckystarrs.blogspot.com/2014/01/heres-to-fresh-starts.html
Starr Family: Party of Five. Sunday, January 5, 2014. Here's to fresh starts:. Oh, happy happy New Year. I can fully admit that I’m typically more jaded and cynical about this time of year, but fortunately the fresh start of January perfectly coincided with my own attitudes and ambitions. So far, I’m going to label this year a winner. Moments that make the rest of it worth it. Speaking of church, here’s Eli on his first day of Sunbeams. I want to keep him with me. Like, forever. Would you think it’...
