Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Well, you've probably been wondering all day what's been going on.us too. It was a fun ttreat to have Linda, the art lady come by to make crafts with JuJu. She was really great with her and Julia was talking to her so comfortably. It really makes a difference to the kids when not everyone they meet here is 'medical'. We had a fun game of fooz ball this afternoon. Mommy actually beat Carter, but he turned around and beat Shana who had come from behind and was only down by one.

Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Today we had her well-check at the pediatrician's office. We love our doctor and it has been such a journey to get to this place. After 9 different pediatricians in 4 different practices and some really horrible experiences over the past 11 years- we are so blessed with the doctor we have been sent. (And he was trained at Brenners which is bonus in our book! We have been keeping ourselves busy in the mean time. Last Thursday was our much-anticipated yearly trip to the Dixie...

Many people think about childhood cancer as being rare. Sadly, it is not rare enough. 1 in 300 children are diagnosed with cancer- 12,600 every year. 500 of those will be diagnosed with Wilms' tumor- a solid tumor cancer of the kidney commonly found in 3-4 year old children. Have braved clinical trials and paved the way to make things better for the Wilms' Warriors that come after them. They have earned the "purple hearts" in the war against pediatric cancer and we honor and remember their sacrifice.

Thursday, January 31, 2013. Carter was born on his Mimi's birthday, January 2nd. He loves to be able to celebrate together while we are still in PA for the holidays.
