Eric and I have been staying home all week. and devoting as much attention to the big kids as to the baby! I think it's the return to a full-time career. There's less time for reflection on motherhood, less time on target with the kiddos. I am in constant reaction mode, and, late at night, I have difficulty parsing what exactly went on during the day. It's tough to figure out what to write under those circumstances. As much as I remind 'Chelle to say 'please' and 'thank you,' when the little girl wants something, she pretty much demands it. So it was a few days ago when she told us that she needed new fairy wings for Halloween because the old ones were too small for her, and she's much bigger now and so she needs new fairy wings. Whew! Why couldn't she be a princess for Halloween? In the black sweatshirt!
