Little Projects: September 2009
http://littleprojects.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. I'm so excited that my Fortune Cookie Bag is being published in Interweave Crochet Fall 2009! I'm thrilled that it's featured in the five projects Inside This Issue. It's a fun little project - a simple shape is felted then cleverly folds into a bag. Pre-order. Now or on newsstands October 6, 2009. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Sunday, September 20, 2009. So Good English Muffins. Dan Lepard's Cider Vinegar Muffins. Sunday, September 20, 2009. Tuesday, September 08, 2009.
Little Projects: August 2009

Thursday, August 06, 2009. A couple of old potatoes sitting in the bowl, gotta make something before they start growing or turning green. This gnocchi. From 101 Cookbooks recipe sounds good, may be a little finicky since I've never made gnocchi before, just thought about it a bunch, oh what the heck. The part with the fork is a bit tricky but practice makes perfect. And oh these taste perfect, wonderful tender little pillows of yummy potatoes in your mouth. Thursday, August 06, 2009. 3 oz goat cheese.
Little Projects: December 2009

Thursday, December 10, 2009. I was so happy when this idea came to me. And I want to share it with you. I was knitting something that needed a whole bunch of stitch markers and ran out so I used yarn scraps and tied a circle with them, then my project had all these scrappy ends sticking out. Fast forward and I was working on the Pleats Purse. So first, get your scraps of feltable yarn, like 100%wool. Now start to roll it back and forth using your fingers. This will cause friction and felt the yarn. Here'...

Thursday, October 16, 2008. The Leaf Collection pt 1. Three new scarf patterns are available now that I think of as the leaf collection. Not sure if three constitutes a collection but it's how I see it in my head. Thought I would write about each of them here. The first is Foliage. This design had been. Sn't do it justice with the pooling and the way they stripe. Around this time, my swap buddy. Thursday, October 16, 2008. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Leaf Collection pt 1. Quicksilver Crafter 2.0: September 2011
http://quicksilvercrafter.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sep 13, 2011. A cool DIY wire coffee table project. Anyway, since it's not falling apart or unstable, we're not in a giant rush to spend money on a new coffee table base, but it's pretty high on the list of DIY improvements I want to make to the house, since I prefer my DIY projects to be attractive as well as usable. ;) My criteria for the new, improved DIY coffee table base include that it should:. Hold the glass top securely enough that none-so-gentle cats and feet atop it won't make the table wobble;.

Aug 22, 2011. In which I acquire an alpaca (sort of), and dye some Florida wool. You wouldn't think an alpaca would fit in someone's luggage, right? Well, this little guy did:. He was a gift from the first mate's parents; they picked him up in Colorado. Of course I've already misplaced. I found the card that came with him, from which I gather he comes to me by way of Alpaca Exotic Imports. Thanks, O parents of the first mate, for the pettable furry thing that requires no feeding. ;). Links to this post.

Quicksilver Crafter 2.0: December 2013
http://quicksilvercrafter.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Dec 11, 2013. OK, so that title would work better if I could have reasonably written "soldering on" as my stupid pun of the day, but . WHATEV. ;) ). Finally buckled down and got some Tool Magic, which basically coats the jaws of your pliers with a thin layer of grippy stuff so that working with wire is easier and you don't leave marks on said wire. Pliers on the left(ish) are newly coated, pliers on the right (minus the bottom one) are uncoated (but duh, right? Links to this post. Other Things I Read.

Quicksilver Crafter 2.0: Weekly craft check-in #6: stripes and purple fuzz
http://quicksilvercrafter.blogspot.com/2012/02/weekly-craft-check-in-6-stripes-and.html
Feb 13, 2012. Weekly craft check-in #6: stripes and purple fuzz. OK, so I should have posted this yesterday, but . well, there it is. ;). Last week's crafty endeavors included not only the ridiculously easy prettified tape dispensers. It's almost like a minuscule rug, or a bath mat for dolls. ;) No idea what I'm going to do with it, though. (I still haven't figured out what to do with the Garfield cross-stitch. And oddly enough, the back side of it is almost better than the front, in my opinion:. Large M...

Quicksilver Crafter 2.0: Weekly craft check-in #7: prettified matchbox
http://quicksilvercrafter.blogspot.com/2012/02/weekly-craft-check-in-7-prettified.html
Feb 19, 2012. Weekly craft check-in #7: prettified matchbox. There's this big matchbox that sits on the table by the computer. I see it every single day. It was. Just an ordinary matchbox, but no more! I decided that if I'm going to have to see it all the time, it might as well be a little nicer to look at. And when all it takes is a little paper, glue, a craft knife and about five minutes to make something easier on the eyes, well, I have no real excuse for not doing it. ;). Labels: Craft or Bust 2012.

Sep 17, 2014. A look at what working at Jo-Ann is like. Man, I need to overhaul this blog again. So much potential, so little time. ;). Anyway, just wanted to stop by for anyone who may be looking and post a link another crafter friend brought to my attention. If you've ever wondered what the heck goes on behind the scenes at Jo-Ann. That near-ubiquitous craft store, wonder no more. A look at what working at Jo-Ann is like. That near-ubiquitous craft store, wonder no more. Blog comments powered by Disqus.

December 22, 2016. Spent the afternoon painting the ocean in watercolour and a little bit of white gouache. October 4, 2016. Made these moths out of paper and painted them with watercolours. I dyed some cotton muslin fabric using a photosensitive dye, placed little bits and pieces. Of plants on top, exposed it to the sun for 10 minutes on a bright sunny day, and this is what happened.
