Our Trip to Ethiopia. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. We had another successful semester at Mariam Church Tutoring Center in DC. We have committed to volunteer as tutors at their Saturday Program. All the tutors have a higher education degree, tutoring in Science, Mathematics, English, and Reading Comprehension. Our Trip to Ethiopia. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Mental Health Community Forum 2012. I attended a wonderful gathering of health professionals who were concerned for the Mental Health Status within the Ethiopian Community. The topic of discussion was Mental Illness and Suicide. The program was on August 25, 2012 in the Washington DC area. I can't wait to attend the next gathering updating the community on breakthroughs and results from implementing the feedback. I am learning so much as the founder. I decided to write a few tips off the top of my head. 1 Inspire by doing more work than everyone else. 2 Board Members are inspired by being decisive and following through. 3 It's okay to get member's input and give them credit when you apply their ideas. 5 Be honest with yourself. Our Trip to Ethiopia. Sunday, December 18, 2011. It was great. Dr. Ayele was inspiring and surprised to receive a plaque for his work in Health and Community Service. The guests were amazing. We had a Physicist, Computer Wizards, Professors, two Founders of other non-profits, A former UN staff, Business owners, and more.
