Friday, August 22, 2008. We got to the coast and followed the highway north about 60km (36 miles) to the hotel/resort we called home for 3 days - the Rotana. We spent two days relaxing on the beach, getting some sun. Being one of them. We didn't take an underwater camera with us, the water was a little murky anyways. Saturday, October 25, 2008. Fun in the Sun. I feel like I've done a lot since I last posted. new car, rides up Jebel Hafeet, cycled through the Hatta Mountains, we had a Desert Safari with school last week - that was fun. I rode a camel. Monday, June 22, 2009. 2 Going too hard in the mountains. I love climbing hills, I know it's ridiculous, but I enjoy the pain. I think I like them so much because there is always a reward after the punishment - the top! When will it act up? Should I take something on the run to reduce inflammation? How long is the marathon going to take me? How much will I have to walk? So, what's the plan for post race? The TdF starts in Monaco this year. (That's one more stamp in my passport!
