http://simpleglory.blogspot.com/2012/02/assuming-best-in-our-children.html
Seeking to grow, breathing Him in. Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Assuming the Best in our Children. I think that most people feel as I do. Yet, how often do we forget to do this for our children? How often do we look at them in the midst of their messy anger and think, "What is WRONG with this child? If only we could learn to see them as we long to be seen - as a whole person struggling to live well. Is she feeling loved? February 21, 2012 at 3:25:00 PM PST. Without hesitation, she said, To live a good lif...

Seeking to grow, breathing Him in. Monday, April 2, 2012. Mothers, Don't Be Deceived. Return of the Prodigal Son. Recently, a woman that I know - a beautiful, godly, loving woman - shared with me a heartbreaking struggle that she is walking through with her lovely daughter. My oldest is now twelve, and I am beginning to see that it is not so much if. But rather when -. My children will face struggles, especially in the teenage years. And, they will probably break my heart at times. O my soul,. As mothers...

Exploring Divine Nature: December 2009
http://exploringdivinenature.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 27, 2009. We recently headed back to the Mudflats. Again I love how dense the trees and shrubs are here - and even though it is urban runoff, the stream running through it makes for extra fun. The kids found plenty to do on the trail. Who needs Jumpin' Jammin' when Nature entertains? And of course, the Johnson boys always find something interesting. Saturday, December 26, 2009. On our recent trip to the Newport Mudflats, my friend Arica noticed these. What blooms in December? We've alway...

By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. Proverbs 24:3-4. Friday, July 25, 2014. Camping in San Clemente 6-28-14. Blake had a fever a few days before we left and it was still lingering a bit on Friday, but by Saturday it was gone and his appetite was back. The first thing we did when we parked at our site was start a fire so we could roast marshmallows. See how long the skewers get? I'll have to add ...

Simple Glory: Listening
http://simpleglory.blogspot.com/2011/11/listening.html
Seeking to grow, breathing Him in. Saturday, November 26, 2011. As a mother, it has been important to me from the beginning to expose my children to the best in books and music. From the time that they are very small, I read wonderful stories to them. And, there is almost always good music from a wide variety of genres playing in our home. I have done this with the hope that a taste for beauty and excellence would be cultivated in them, and that they would also be inspired to pursue greatness as well.

The Mess Exposed: School Room- The Ugly Truth!
http://themessexposed.blogspot.com/2012/08/school-room.html
Monday, August 13, 2012. School Room- The Ugly Truth! It has so much potential, but it seems to look like this more often than not! My daughter's gymnastic mat somehow gets stored in here, the desk has become the "catch all," the kids apparently don't know how to put books away, or won't. Even though there are 2 garbage cans in here, there is garbage all over the floor! If I'm able to get it back in shape, I'll post pictures of how it is supposed. August 13, 2012 at 1:19 PM. Friday, May 31, 2013. Weekly Wrap-Up: Like the Old Days. Well, I'm finally around to do a weekly wrap-up! Despite my house being torn apart (literally- and I'll get to that soon) and being canceled from work, and being extremely low on funds, this week has been a sweet reminder of what I love. my family! This week felt like "the old days" before I worked a bazillion stinking hours a week. I started reading a book to the girls last week, The Cabin Faced West, and Little Bit just loved it! Oh- I forgot to ...
