Adventures of SueBob: City of Lakes 25K Race Report
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2009/09/this-race-was-little-rough-but-in-way-i.html
Monday, September 21, 2009. City of Lakes 25K Race Report. This race was a little rough, but in a way I am kinda glad. I learned a couple lessons (that I SHOULD have already known). 1) Diet the night before the race really does matter (and Japanese steakhouse is a poor choice for me). I woke up Sunday morning feeling a little sick to my stomach, I think dinner was just a little too greasy (but I LOVE Japanese steakhouse! 2) If you think you are starting too fast, you probably ARE! So, I am thinking maybe...

Adventures of SueBob: Triathlon Race Report
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2008/09/triathlon-race-report.html
Sunday, September 7, 2008. It was the toughest workout I have ever experienced. And I did way better than I expected. I didn't really know what to expect, but I had an idea of how far I thought I could go on each event. Swim (10 min): I was hoping for at least 10-12 lengths in the pool and I made it 15! Most of them were backstroke, which for some reason is my best stroke. Bike (30 min): I was hoping for 10 miles and I made 11.5! That is 9:16 mpm! Race: Lifetime Fitness Indoor Triathlon (Eagan). 10K - 54...

Adventures of SueBob: My First Mile
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2012/08/my-first-mile.html
Monday, August 6, 2012. Remember when you ran your first mile? I do - I was on the treadmill at the YMCA. I ran until the display said 1.00 and then hit the stop button and caught my breath. Well - now I have another mile to remember.my first mile swim! I actually hit it faster than I expected. Last week, I came. Hmmm, what shall be the next distance goal for the hour long class.I'm not too far off from 2km (44 laps) so that is not much of a stretch, maybe an even 50 laps (2,500 yds)? 1,000 Mile Year.

Adventures of SueBob: Lifetime Torchlight 5K Urban Run - Race Report
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2008/07/lifetime-torchlight-5k-urban-run-race.html
Thursday, July 24, 2008. Lifetime Torchlight 5K Urban Run - Race Report. Wow – this race was not quite what I was expecting! Since there are no offic. Ial results, I didn’t have last year’s results to check out beforehand. I figured it was a little bigger than what I am used to…maybe about 1,000 runners or so. Ummm, try more like 5,000! E and then took the historic Stone Arch Bridge over St Anthony Falls. (I really need to go do some running along the river! Plus, the kids were great! They didn’t f...

Adventures of SueBob: Challenge Isolation Indoor Track Meet 2009 Race Report
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2009/01/challenge-isolation-indoor-track-meet.html
Monday, January 19, 2009. Challenge Isolation Indoor Track Meet 2009 Race Report. The first event was the 3000m run. I watched and cheered on the runners. Several other runners told me what to expect as we watched. I slowed it down a little and fell into a pace that I thought I could maintain for another 7 laps. After about my third lap I realized just how dry my mouth was getting - WOW, they weren't kidding about that dry air in here! Overall, I cannot believe I actually ran that fast! Race: Challenge I...

Adventures of SueBob: Run the Valley 5K Race Report
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2009/04/run-valley-5k-race-report.html
Thursday, April 9, 2009. Run the Valley 5K Race Report. I was hoping to run this one with the kids/stroller, but the weather ended up being a bit too cold. I also didn't know which race I was going to run until that morning (5K or 10K), but the cold made that decision for me too. When I got there I realized I made a bad decision wearing my capris instead of full length running tights. My legs were freezing! That is faster than my current PR! And I wasn't even pushing the pace! I could barely believe it!

Adventures of SueBob: Grand Old Day "On the Go" 8K Race Report
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2010/06/grand-old-day-on-go-8k-race-report.html
Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Grand Old Day "On the Go" 8K Race Report. This wasn't a goal race for me.I chose it mainly because I wanted to find a race that the kids could do this summer, and they had a 0.25mi kids run (most of the kids runs around here are at least a half mile, which I thought was probably too far for them). I ALMOST hit that 45:00.missed my a whole 3 seconds! But I beat my previous PR by exactly 2 minutes and did much better than I had anticipated, so I am very happy with the result. That ...

http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2009/05/lake-minnetonka-half-marathon-race.html
Monday, May 4, 2009. Lake Minnetonka Half Marathon Race Report. I decided to try something different for this race.audiobooks! I have used them in the past, but haven't in a while.and not at all since I have actually been able to run for more than an hour. An old friend who happens to runs marathons suggested trying it for my marathon training. I got something from the library loaded it on my Sansa. In the end, not only did I PR (by 11 minutes! Race: Wells Fargo Lake Minnetonka Half Marathon. I'm bummed ...

Adventures of SueBob: Grand Old Day 8K - Race Report
http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2008/06/grand-old-day-8k-race-report.html
Monday, June 2, 2008. Grand Old Day 8K - Race Report. This was my first chip-timed race, and I really liked how much more relaxed the start seemed. Instead of everyone immediately starting at their pace speed, the back of the group actually just jogged until we reached the mats, then sped up. It just felt more civilized I guess. As for the running…the hardest miles were the first and fourth. However, I did push through and did not walk one step between the start and finish mats! Date: June 1, 2008. 7/4 -...

http://suebob1.blogspot.com/2009/03/human-race-8k-race-report.html
Monday, March 23, 2009. Human Race 8K Race Report. Whoa - I still have a ways to go to finish this mile! I continued to push the pace, though without the help of the hill I slowed down of course. I managed to keep the final mile under a 9:00 pace though! I was surprised, but this was the first race that my Garmin matched the marked course miles pretty much exactly! My final chip time even matched to the second.and for that final time.47:03! Almost 7 minutes faster than my previous PR! Date: March 22, 2009.
