living, loving, laughing...: December 2014

http://www.livinglovinglaughingtogether.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Monday, 22 December 2014. A generous Christmas gesture / from a child's heart. She has been saving every penny for months to buy an iPad (whether she is actually allowed to have one is a whole other story! Any mention of spend. Ing her money on other things has been met w horror - eye on the prize and all that. Just before her final week of school, she announced that she wanted to cut open her precious money tin and spend all. Her money on a gift for her beloved teacher. There is something so fitting and...

living, loving, laughing...: March 2014

http://www.livinglovinglaughingtogether.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, 29 March 2014. 13/52 - savouring faces and spaces. Showing off her efforts, trying to colour in the entire wall in sparkle chalk). The first term of school is inching towards the end - and the exhaustion is setting in as the new normal. It was like the old days, having my three at home again for an easy, cosy day together. I liked it, I liked it a lot. Intently telling me all about his playdough creation. Just can't get enough of this face. Love when we get to go places all together. A miracle ...

Wednesday, 28 May 2014. 21/52 - mini foodies. A fun new activity that works those fine-motor skills like a boss. peeling hard boiled eggs ;). His current fave snack - ' Ants on a Log. Peanut butter and a line of sultanas on a celery stick, if you somehow missed this childhood rite of passage). Oh, we thought we were super clever to create 'bugs on a log' too -. Hummus and pepitas lined up on celery :). Mmmm, just noticing a food theme in the portraits this week! More highlights from the week that was.

living, loving, laughing...: November 2014

http://www.livinglovinglaughingtogether.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, 30 November 2014. 48/52 - sleeping in doorways hiding in wardrobes. I remember doing this very thing as a child. So desperate to keep one foot in the happenings of the household post-bedtime that I would make my little bed in the doorway. I guess such an idea must be genetic as I have been discovering this little scene rather frequently of late. Oh, funny, sweet girl. She thinks she is ready to be a grown up, but really, she is exhausted. Next year. My little man! He does simple little exploratio...

living, loving, laughing...: April 2014

http://www.livinglovinglaughingtogether.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, 27 April 2014. 17/52 - a beachy kind of easter. We escaped town over the Easter weekend, heading to the coast to meet up with three other wonderful families. It was surreal and awesome to all hang out together again- just like the old days, but with a swarm of kids racing around our legs this time! But with good doses of time with friends, the load just seemed lighter. Seriously love these families! Post-dip recovery, cosily wrapped in a towel. Oh, this image brings up all kinds of nostalgia.

Joy in the Journey . . .: Camping & Cowboys

http://jasonandnicole.blogspot.com/2013/05/camping-cowboys.html

Saturday, May 18, 2013. Two Tired. Kids. I am so thankful for these two and crazy proud of them. We just truck them around on planes and in cars, tuck them into a different bed every few nights or so and they just totally roll with it. There are moments of grief for sure but I don't think I could ask more of a 3 and 4 year old. Noah and the string lights guiding us to our tent. Getting ready for our nature treasure hunt. Noah getting in a swing on Alan's arm. Self portraits in the tent. And a true taste ...

Joy in the Journey . . .: January 2013

http://jasonandnicole.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 01, 2013. While in Brisbane, my brave girl had her first official dentist's visit and professional cleaning. Ella tends to be a little reserved and can be slow to warm in new situations, so I wasn't sure how this visit would go over. I am so proud of her. She showed no hesitation or fear whatsoever! Why visit a dentist on your Christmas holiday to another state? Well, that's what you do when one of your best friends happens to be an excellent dentist! Better the one you know, right?

Joy in the Journey . . .: October 2011

http://jasonandnicole.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Monday, October 03, 2011. Before a little boy turns TWO soon, I wanted to post about a little girl turning THREE a few months ago. Ella developed a liking for Hello Kitty during our time in the US so that was her cake choice this year. I really enjoy making cakes for my kids. It's a good memory I have from my childhood and a tradition I'm happy to pass on. I'm not a particularly crafty person, but I can usually make a cake that resembles something! Sam does an amazing job on the cake each year. Keeping i...

http://jasonandnicole.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 14, 2010. We celebrated Ella's 2nd birthday at the end of July. I feel like I'm in some crazy time warp many days as I watch her running around, playing and talking. How has time gone so fast from the moment we learned I was pregnant, to her arrival, to now? How blessed we are to raise this little girl! Happy 2nd Birthday, Ella. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monday, October 29, 2012. Happy Birthday, Noah! Well my Little (he'll be on to me for that nickname one day . . . ) turned 3 on Saturday. Three. 3. Hard to get my mind around. He was much more into having a birthday than I remember Ella being at three. When I picked him up from school he said 'mum! It's my birthday soon! Yes, son, just one more sleep! I may or may not have snuck in and whispered 'hey buddy, it's your birthday! How to ensure party success? Zip 'em into the trampoline! Pass the parcel, bud!

Friday, May 17, 2013. Two of my favorite things.snow and Super Target :-). Snow Cone - the real deal. Aubrey and Noah just chilling out before a little sledding. Ella and AJ on the sled. The neatest thing about sledding.we all we had to do was just walk across the street to this hill! A lot of cuteness wrapped up in this larger than life little boy. Big adventure for our Aussie kids. Our sledding hill the next morning. Goodbye Colorado. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Joy In Our Journey.

Joy in the Journey . . .: November 2010

http://jasonandnicole.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 16, 2010. In early March of 2009, we learned that we were expecting another child. What? So soon after having Ella. So soon after having arrived in Australia. I was overwhelmed. I was joyful. Afraid. But eventually and ultimately confident that God, the giver of this gift, would also help us cope. Now our boy is 1 year old! He amazes us day after day. He challenges and blesses us all in the same breath! It would be a lie to pretend that the past year has been without challenges. The...

http://jasonandnicole.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 02, 2011. The baby in my tummy.". No, no, this isn't a creative announcement! We love to tell Ella stories and apparently she's really listening. We tell her stories about how we met, our engagement, our wedding day, our life in Japan. We tell her how we prayed for the blessing of a child, about being pregnant, learning our baby was a girl, how we chose her name, about the day she was born and what she was like as a "tiny little baby". Oh, and did I mention that "Grammy loves boogers"?
