But today I came across this blog post. And this blog post. It's a 2-part series on the same blog) that really put into words...

The Epsteen Chronicles: September 2010
http://theepsteenchronicles.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 13, 2010. The Realness of God. The other day I was reading from Genesis 5. One of the last verses of that chapter reads like this:. He named him Noah and said, "He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the LORD has cursed." Genesis 5.29. This is the first time we read about Noah and in one sentence we learn more about him than about most of the characters in this chapter. "He will comfort us.". A while ago too. Just in the past week, I have had ...

The Epsteen Chronicles: August 2008
http://theepsteenchronicles.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2008. It's not about me! Well, it's official! I have been a mother for six years today. And I have not seriously injured or maimed any of my children. Don't I get some sort of reward for that? Seriously though, this day is not at all about me, so I thought I would write a post on the top ten things our sweet girl has accomplished in a year's time (no, I am not bragging, just a proud momma-okay maybe I am bragging a little, but I know you will forgive me! We can't wait for Chrithmuth.

Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Last week our family was able to fulfill a longtime dream of ours of purchasing livestock. Granted, Cara didn't come to us in the traditional way, but she is ours nonetheless. Well, at least 1/14th of her. Cara, blog readers. Blog readers, Cara. She's a little camera shy. But isn't she beautiful? All five ladies, doing what the ladies were made to do. Cara is in the middle. Cara comes to us from This Old Farm. A proud, raw milk family. Each Sunday, we travel to the farm, which is a...

Sunday, May 16, 2010. The Story of You. Today is a very important day. This is what I see as I sit here typing this:. This is my sweet one month old snuggling on my chest. I cannot even begin to describe how faithful and loving and gracious my God is. Especially when I pause to consider that my son should not even be here. Yet here we are, celebrating one whole, perfect, beautiful month with our sweet, sweet boy. Rick and I decided about a year ago that we wanted to start trying to conceive again. So...

The Epsteen Chronicles: Boy Crazy
http://theepsteenchronicles.blogspot.com/2011/05/boy-crazy.html
Sunday, May 15, 2011. I love my boys! So many people have assumed that we were disappointed when we found out our most recent child was going to be a boy. And while it is true that my heart longs for another daughter and a sister for Madison, I was thrilled to hear that we were expecting our third boy. We are truly outnumbered in this household and I wouldn't have it any other way. The testosterone can be a bit overwhelming. You've got to see this! 65279;. 65279; Let's have a closer look, shall we?

Loving Life: Choo-Choo
http://myfamilylovinglife.blogspot.com/2010/08/this-week-has-been-crazy-busy-one.html
Wednesday, August 11, 2010. This week has been a crazy busy one. We have something that we have to do every day, and that will continue through the week. Yesterday, we decided to head over to Brown County with my mom, Nana, and Poppy. Carson wanted to ride on the "train" there, and they loved it. So proud and excited about the train. Have I mentioned how much I adore my Poppy? He is the greatest man, and I admire him more than anything. I LOVE HIM, and my kids love him, too! LOOK at this precious face!
