Just another WordPress.com site. Newer posts →. So far, so good (mostly) in Paradise. March 25, 2011. Everyone we knew contacted us yesterday to make sure we were okay. The media had announced that we and two other areas had to be evacuated because of rising waters. But, as far as I know, very few in Paradise Park had to evacuate (one or two homes. Have to be evacuated when the river rises). Mostly, people just moved cars to higher ground. Creating jobs by slashing jobs? March 25, 2011. Just saw a news t...

Tales of a third-culture family with diplomatic papers. Good morning, Vietnam. March 31, 2012. HO CHI MINH CITY – 23 hours of flights and a week and a half after leaving DC (including a friend-filled stop over at home in Tokyo), and we have arrived in the bustling heart of Vietnam. The streets are filled with their famous moped chaos, but driving amongst them felt surprisingly orderly, especially compared with my experiences in Bangkok and Seoul (where I will be living next). Living on the Page. Personal Journal of Author Sandra Parshall. Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Do Mysteries Need a Reboot? Have traditional whodunnits run out of steam, grown predictable, unable to surprise and entice readers anymore?
