Sweet and Sour is analogous to much of our lives. You don't have to look very hard to find the sour, but then there's so much that is sweet isn't there? It seems that life is lived in between these two tensions, and sometimes the flavors of sweet and sour come together to make a beautiful "dish." While we have been reconciled and redeemed (sweet) we are still fighting against the patterns of our brokenness (sour). We live in a kingdom that is here (sweet) but is not in its full power (sour).

Work has been so hetic; I needed a few days to just lie in the sun and read until my eyes bled. (I ended up reading two-and-a-half books. It was wonderful!
