Better Living Through Chemistry: October 2011

http://livingthroughchem.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Better Living Through Chemistry. Thursday, October 20, 2011. Really, C&E News? As you can see from the name of my blog, I'm a member and pretty big fan of the American Chemical Society. So I was pretty disappointed when I read what is apparently a locked article, entitled "When Scientists Betray Employers" in the October 10th issue. Because I think it doesn't happen? Put me off the entire argument. Sunday, October 2, 2011. Why is this even an option? Being able to be investigated for fraud for politics&#...

Better Living Through Chemistry: December 2011

http://livingthroughchem.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html

Better Living Through Chemistry. Saturday, December 10, 2011. I said on Saturday that I was planning to write a full post about scientific stereotypes. Here it is. Lots of people have written lots of good ground here, and I'm not going to try to recover everything. Here are just a couple of links http:/ www.labmanager.com/. Http:/ www.sciencebase.com. I could go into a whole lot of questions about the gender politics of the stereotypes, but that's not where I'm trying to go. Why do I care? I have been mo...

Better Living Through Chemistry: February 2012

http://livingthroughchem.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Better Living Through Chemistry. Saturday, February 25, 2012. A cool article on the C&E news website. Gold nanoparticles cleaning mercury. Some mining examples mining questions. Dental amalgams are falling out of favor though it's hard to prove any link to specific health problems epa website on dental amalgams. So it makes sense that gold can be used to clean mercury. However, I enjoy reading about it and hope you do too. Monday, February 13, 2012. Yet again it's been a long time. I have a post in mind ...

LIVING THROUGH FAITH

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. I wrote this post several weeks ago and never posted it so here it is. We had an awesome Christmas! Santa brought the girls the puppy they have been asking for forever and it was so perfect! It was just perfect! The puppy is an adorable little monster that is ruining my life but the kids LOVE her so I do too! The docs are still not allowing her to go back to school which she is not happy about, but we are getting out once and a while and just keeping her hands off of things.
