Oh, Toronto! | EosinophilGirl

https://eosgirl.wordpress.com/2014/07/05/oh-toronto

Trying to stop worrying and love my EGID. Summer’s End →. July 5, 2014. Several weeks home now from a business trip to Toronto, but I’d been remiss if I didn’t flag it as a great town for my way of eating. The catered events for my conference were kind of a mess, ranging from virtually-nothing-to-eat to blech. But the time on my own? Wheat-free, dairy-free abundance! Who says you can’t have brownies for breakfast when they’re wheat-free and dairy-free? At the other end of dining was Grasslands. Trying to...

Trying to stop worrying and love my EGID. Trying to stop worrying and love my eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease. May 16, 2016. It’s been too long. WAY too long. And while that’s not so great for a blog, it does at least mean that there hasn’t been a heck of a lot, eos-wise, to write about. No news, good news. (Not counting … Continue reading →. Trying to stop worrying and love my EGID. Lessons Learned: Managing the Scope. April 29, 2014. Fallout from an unfortunate I.V. I was expecting to hear from Dr. Eos today with the results of last week’s scope. But when he did call, I wasn’t at all expecting the news. Clean, clean, clean. Or close enough to clean, anyway. Just a few errant eos hanging around in my stomach where, for all intents and purposes, they are allowed to be. Yeah, maybe not. Click to print (Opens in new window). Enter your comment ...

Journey With Nathan: 37%...

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2013/03/37.html

Monday, March 18, 2013. I talked to Dr. Williams tonight and Nathan's gastric emptying test showed that Nathan's stomach is emptying 37% in 90 minutes. A normal individual's stomach should empty at the rate of 50% in 90 minutes. So yes, he has gastroparesis. :o(. Unfortunately, there aren't many options other than taking medicines to treat gastroparesis. So Nathan will begin taking Erythromycin (a low dose antibiotic, grr! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Journey With Nathan: August 2011

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Nathan had his third scope with biopsies done today and also go this PEG tube switched out to the AMT Mini One Balloon Button. He did great! Thanks to the many prayers being sent our way today! Dr Williams said that his esophagus looked good, so we are hopeful that the biopsies will second that. This will be excellent news which may mean that avoiding the top 8 allergens will allow Nathan to be symptom free! We are so excited about the AMT button! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Journey With Nathan: February 2012

http://journeywithnathan.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Just wanted to share the recipes I used to make Nathan's safe birthday cake and cookies this year! They're free of all the top 8 allergens and were pretty good! I might try switching up some of the "flours" in the future to see if I can make it even better! The sugar cookie recipe was a hit and everyone loved them! So thankful to have alternative options for baking for our sweet boy who deserves a yummy treat like these from time to time! Test cookie was a success! 4) Bake at ...

Thursday, June 30, 2011. We found it at Target Pharmacy. it's OTC. But you have to ask the pharmacy for it! This morning his tummy look beautiful! The GT is not completely gone, but I can tell that it is going away and hopefully will stay that way! We will keep using the Calmoseptine and pray that it will keep it from re-occurring. Today is kind of a big day for Nathan in way of his food trials. he is trialing CHICKEN! I am so thankful to finally be able to offer him a complete meal! Biopsy Results Are In.

Friday, October 28, 2011. Alright, so in the world of EoE as we have always known, things can change and they can change quickly. We were blessed to have such a smooth couple of months in a row with Nathan. They all evaluated Nathan together and individually so that they could put their minds together on the best approach to help Nathan. Nathan working on his chewing exercises. Tyler C with EE: Tyler's new look

http://tylercwithee.blogspot.com/2011/05/tylers-new-look.html

Tyler C with EE. Friday, May 20, 2011. Through the nose, over the ear, then taped to the back. Placement wasn't a fun thing for me. The nurse has done it for 19 years, only hit the airway once. "Chances of doing that are slim.". Mental note: Make sure the end port is closed when inserting. Here is to hoping he won't pull it out when he's in his crib. We had to do syringe feedings last night because the pump isn't getting delivered until this afternoon. So far so good. May 20, 2011 at 1:07 PM. Eosinophils...

Tyler C with EE. Sunday, June 19, 2011. For other EE moms). The GI wanted to wait until after Tyler's 2nd scope and "personal baseline" before starting food(s) that had reactions on the patch test. The scope is done so we started apples last night. He ate some. By some I mean 2 tablespoons. We tried again this afternoon and he took a small bite then wasn't interested. He refused the apples by turning his head while also pushing the spoon away with his hand. June 20, 2011 at 10:50 AM. Maybe dumping some a...

Kicking Myself: The Perpetuation of Stigma Through Inaction. Two of my favourite bloggers on the subject of Autism have given me pause for thought this week. Yesterday was Mental Health Day. 1 in 6 adults will have a coming mental health problem, and yet there’s still such a stigma attached. How can that possibly be OK? Raised the point that it takes more than awareness of mental health issues to make life easier; we need acceptance. Or do we expect them to hide their struggles, to fit in with the norm?

My blog about Ehlers-Danlos Type 3 and it's associated conditions – here to raise awareness. Ive said before that I hear people complain all the time about getting on the day appointments at our Drs surgery. Well thanks to Patient Access and their amazing app, I just log on and fingers crossed there are on the day, or urgent appointments available. Living with Edward

Tuesday, October 2, 2012. A Party And A Weremunk Tale. It's time for more happenings from our Forks trip last year. As opposed to saying that I'm lazy, I'll just say I like suspense. How's that? First we'll start with the infamous Rainbow Text Guide. We'll start off with some party pics. Here is Edward and Bella enjoying some light up body decorations. And JayMunk, as the clan has been calling him, is enjoying some, too. Edward then chuckled a bit at his own inside joke with himself. Using the strange co...

Cameron's Journey with Eosinophilic Esophagitis | “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstance

Cameron's Journey with Eosinophilic Esophagitis. June 1, 2015. So Much For No Worries……. So about 24 hours after our visit with team at Children’s, Cam exhibited his first EoE symptoms in over a year….or so we thought.
