Amy & Dave’s Family Project: Easter & Spring!
http://theriedys.blogspot.com/2010/05/easter-spring.html
Sunday, May 16, 2010. Some pictures from long ago Easter and some more recent Spring-y pics. Ella had a great time hunting for eggs, shouting There's another one! Every time she saw an egg. She'd point at it, make sure we saw it, and then run to pick it up and put it in her makeshift basket. Eventually she saw the Easter basket under the dining room table and let out a huge gasp. She's wearing one of the new Spring dresses I picked up for her a couple of weeks ago. This is one of my favorites. 7 lbs, 4 oz.

Amy & Dave’s Family Project: November 2008
http://theriedys.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2008. Ella at home, in her pajamas. I keep telling Amy that she needs a hair cut, but Amy gives me that don't say that, she's just a baby and if we cut her hair that means she's getting older. Look But, really, she needs a hair cut. Thanksgiving Day at the Ditmyer’s in an outfit from Tom and Gregory. Ella had a lot of fun playing with the other kids who were there. Here's adorable little Sammy, visiting all the way from London. Last night we got to have a quick visit with the chulos.

Amy & Dave’s Family Project: July 2009
http://theriedys.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 27, 2009. Meet Eleanor. She likes to arrange things in lines. She likes to pull out the silverware drawer, and take out only her. Knives, and forks and spoons and carry them into the living room and arrange them on the floor. She also looks cute in a two-piece swimsuit and hat. Her pensive cowgirl look. This is up on the Highline. 8212; this great new park made from reclaimed elevated train tracks. Highly recommended for visitors. Sunday, July 26, 2009. It's been too long! We also did a trip...

Thursday, September 24, 2009. We have been so busy with finalizing the whole buying-our-first-house thing, that we continue to be way behind on our blog updates. Here's more Ella cuteness for you to feast upon. Her newest favorite friend, Poppy the Peppy Puppet! Poppy was actually a birthday gift from her Uncle Chulos. Ella has recently become attached to her, even walks her to bed and gives her a kiss at night.and Dave does a great cheerleader voice. She chose all the accessories. Love My Little Ella.

Amy & Dave’s Family Project: April 2009
http://theriedys.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 25, 2009. Ella in Bryant Park. Spring apparently sprung this week, what with the 88 degree weather we had today. Earlier in the week, we spent a couple of mornings running around Bryant Park. Ella is taking some time to smell the tulips. She concluded with her usual response of, "Mmmmmm.". At the outdoor children's reading area. I read her one of the "No David" books. She looks like she's still seriously contemplating the perils of playing baseball in the house. Tuesday, April 21, 2009.

Amy & Dave’s Family Project: May 2010
http://theriedys.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 18, 2010. A while back we went with the Robyn, Sam, and Scott to Branch Brook Park. Where they supposedly have the largest number of cherry trees in North America. Ella and Sam were both proud of their stylin' sunglasses. Pretty Mom and Ella both were sporting pigtails. As Amy was saying the other night — we wish that people got to see more of the quiet, contemplative side of Ella. Here she is exploring and thinking. Talk about a big cheese. Sunday, May 16, 2010. Some pictures from long ago ...

Saturday, May 30, 2009. Birthday Loot, Zoo, and Sleeping. Here's Ms. Ella, surrounded by some of her birthday loot — all of which she loved. She's got the NYC ABC book on her lap. "I" is for Ice skates. She particularly loved these blocks from Paul and Kathy that make animal noises when you arrange them correctly. I was amazed at how quickly she figured the combinations out. This was the Daddy purchase — probably too expensive, and probably too much for our little apartment, but she loves. This is a pict...

Amy & Dave’s Family Project: Halloween!
http://theriedys.blogspot.com/2010/11/halloween.html
Monday, November 01, 2010. This is a big one, people. Two movies. Lots of pictures. Trying to make up for *cough* six months of no posts, I suppose. SO — Halloween in Glen Ridge. We missed it last year. We'd closed on the house, but hadn't moved in yet. We'd heard about the craziness that happens in our 'hood. All of it was true. Decorations. We didn't do a lot this year. Figure we'll build it up as we go along. But I bought some. Amy bought a Halloween cookie mix and the day before Halloween she made co...

Saturday, October 25, 2008. Our October Vacation, Part Two: California, Part One. Grandma Riedy bought Ella enough clothes to keep her covered for the next six months. Here she is sporting a new outfit while trying to get out into the backyard to chase the cats. Check out the bunny slippers. I mean, seriously. She love spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Riedy. Here she's pointing and Grandma and saying her version of "there she is! Which comes out like "dardeeess.". Monday, October 20, 2008. Our Octo...

Amy & Dave’s Family Project: December 2009
http://theriedys.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 17, 2009. Ella has gotten good at climbing up and down the stairs. She's still very careful and gets on all fours when she goes down — which makes me happy. She looks incredibly grown up in this picture. Like she's being coy. On purpose. Like she's fifteen or something. This is Ella saying "cheeeeeese! Christmas bells are hanging on the front door, behind her. That always sounds like the holidays to me. Don't forget your hat! I whipped it out of my pocket. She seemed relieved. 11 hours...
