Living with Rottweilers: Morning, Noon and Night
http://livingwithrottweilers.blogspot.com/2015/06/morning-noon-and-night.html
Saturday, June 27, 2015. Morning, Noon and Night. Note: The following three stories and pictures were taken over the past two days and not in the order presented. Hope you don't mind. For some unexplained reason the flash didn't go off on the first three pictures and the camera shifted into aperture mode so everything that was moving (Bessie) was a little blurred. But I think you can make out what was going on. Then I fixed the flash and continued. Last shoe tied, again, and time for breakfast. After din...
Living with Rottweilers: December 2014
http://livingwithrottweilers.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Sunday, December 28, 2014. Hanging out together in the inner sanctum. By the way, I am getting pretty good taking pictures holding the camera with one hand and shooting without looking through the viewfinder. The auto-focus also helps a lot. Biggest problem is pointing the camera in the right direction without dropping it. Saturday, December 27, 2014. The little one isn't so little any more. Thursday, December 25, 2014. Living with Rottweilers: A strange observation at the feeding stand.
http://livingwithrottweilers.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-strange-observation-at-fedding-stand.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. A strange observation at the feeding stand. Bessie has been slowing getting over her eating disorder. And what I had once thought was a fear of her metal food bowl. OK, I've spent so much time observing the problem and trying to think of causes to eliminate that I've let my mind wander a bit. After all, there's nothing wrong with thinking outside the box. An hour ago I saw something that added a new wrinkle to the situation. UPDATE: 7 PM same day. Something old and something new.
Living with Rottweilers: Its a wonder I get anything done around here with all the help I get.

Thursday, June 25, 2015. Its a wonder I get anything done around here with all the help I get. Axl, is never more than an arm's length away from the bed and I sometimes have to literally slide him across the floor to make room for me to work. So while he is slowly waking up I am scratching his ears, telling him what a wonderful job he did taking care of his Mom while she slept and putting on her socks and shoes at the same time. Living with Rottweilers: April 2015
http://livingwithrottweilers.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2015. Celebrating an anniversary, Rottweiler style. On Wednesday my wife Jacqueline and I will celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. Yep, that's Gold plus 5. OK, one time only, pause and clap hands. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The first photo went off without a hitch. It was a quiet afternoon and for some strange reason we were along in the family room and had the couch all to ourselves. Anyway, that what its like Living With Rottweilers. Saturday, April 25, 2015. The return of S...

Living With Robyn – Teaching you in our hearts instead of our arms. A blog for our son who was born sleeping
Teaching you in our hearts instead of our arms. A blog for our son who was born sleeping. September 4, 2016. I think I have hit one of those tides of grief again. You would be 16 months old now, which sounds so little but also feels very far from you. Sometimes I wonder if I should be ‘over it’ by now, that other people will look at me and think I should be. How can I ever get over or forget you? Oskar sends a dribble, missing you and love you always,. After Reclamation Comes Transformation. After the re...

Living with Rottweilers
Friday, March 30, 2018. When it rains it pours. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is Ruffin is officially the healthiest person in my house. And I came in a distant second. The bad news is all about Bessie. Bessie has a partially torn ACL in her left rear leg but the x-rays showed she has Hip Dysplasia in her both hips and her right. Hip is in the worst shape. In the words of the Vet, Bessie's hips are a mess. This past week I've been watching old man Ruffin. He has been taking n...
Living with RP
I went to the ophthalmologist…. September 19, 2016. September 30, 2016. I have begun to notice the term negative space. I’ve seen it several places lately, usually in reference to art. I doubt the term is cropping up any more frequently than it ever has, though; I’m probably just noticing. The same way your own name jumps off the printed page at you, negative space. Has been catching my eye. I tend to translate bad appointments in my head. Narrow visual field means no driving, eventual cane. A co...I cou...
