Tony : 8 weeks post op
http://livingwithtony.blogspot.com/2016/01/8-weeks-post-op.html
Sunday, January 10, 2016. 8 weeks post op. Back to work in the morning after 2 months! I am happy to get back and am feeling much better. I am headache free and have been for weeks, there are still effects from the AVM, my balance, pains behind my eye, and my twitchy eye, but not having that pressure everyday is amazing. My surgeon asked me if I would do it again, I could not say "yes" fast enough. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. 8 weeks post op.

Tony : 2 weeks post-op
http://livingwithtony.blogspot.com/2015/12/2-weeks-post-op.html
Wednesday, December 16, 2015. I am feeling remarkably better, part of that maybe psychological, but I feel relief from the "high pressure" headaches. The headaches are now, localized to the areas affected by surgery, and the AVM, mostly behind my left eye, and the surgery site. Now we wait. what problems were fixed. Which is a bit scary, because I was hoping for a miracle surgery. My follow-up appointment is January 7. I should be released by the 11 of January, to go back to work. View my complete profile.
Tony : November 2015
http://livingwithtony.blogspot.com/2015_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 20, 2015. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful group of family and friends (believe me they put up with a lot). So, I had to decide. let this issue put me in debt for years to come, or swallow my pride, let my friends and family take the lead on this. I have opinions on most everything. But on this one, I am going to let go. As this gets closer, I need to let go of the control freak part of me. Friday, November 13, 2015. What not to do. This week I received my FMLA paperwork, it is ...
Tony : Ethel

Monday, December 7, 2015. It has been 1 week since my surgery. I hate being a patient. That said, I am not very demanding. But, do beg everyone that will listen to let me go home. I was probably the fastest discharge of any brain surgery patient ever. 24 hours! Pounded through the halls! I grew to hate Ethel. My MRI showed that the ETV was draining cerebral fluid as it should. So pressure should be relieved, once the surgery pain subsides. I can still hear the blood flow in my ear from Tony, whic...I am ...

Living With Thyroid Cancer
Living With Thyroid Cancer. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. My birthday was wonderful this year. I was able to spend it surrounded by friends, family and Aerosmith. What more could a girl ask for? All I wanted that day, and all I have wanted since then is to sleep. I need to nap in the afternoon every day. If I don't listen to my body, my sleep at night is fitful at best. I've been sleeping 12-18 hours per day for approximately 2 weeks. Feeling cold when I shouldn't, fatigue, muscle cramps (legs at night), hea...

Monday, July 11, 2016. Just like riding a bike. Last week we went on our yearly beach vacation to the calm and quiet Outer Banks. I love it there and enjoy removing myself from the real world. Most people with these conditions keep moving or stop. I intend to keep moving, but the frustration I feel on a daily basis is unimaginable. There is no measuring stick, beyond not being able to do something I could before. Little daily struggles. This week I am reaching out to a Neuro psychologist. Devin and Nate ...

Living with Trauma Disorders
Living with Trauma Disorders. Monday, February 24, 2014. The “Unappreciated Helper”. What happens is a complex interaction comprising of miscommunication, differing agendas, and an inability to tolerate distress in a loved one. Caring people normally would like to erase the suffering or distress suffered by the people they care about most. However, the person who is venting often is looking primarily only for someone to vent to, not someone to “fix” the problem. Mark E. Hankla. Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Short people are always last to feel the rain. Welcome to Living with T-Rex Arms. A journey through my life living with - you guessed it - T-Rex Arms. While it may be hard to understand how one can survive with T-Rex arms, let me provide you with a few notes I learned over the last 26 years coping with this situation:. When in doubt, always ask a tall person for help reaching high items. Always keep a step-stool handy just in case no one is around to help you.
