Living with Whimsy: August 2009

http://www.livingwithwhimsy.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Life as a happy wife and mother of two who wishes she had the energy to bake. Monday, August 31, 2009. These are very chocolatey, and best in the first couple days after making them. The recipe recommends using an ice cream scoop ("about 1 1/2 inches in diameter") to scoop the cookies onto the sheet; if you do that, you'll get about 3 1/2 dozen cookies from the recipe. I would suggest using pasteurized eggs in this, since it's completely. Impossible to resist the cookie dough. 1/2 cup cocoa powder. Meanw...

Sunday, April 8, 2012. Sunday, April 1, 2012. I tried to get back to my teaching ways and create a themed week for the kids on Spring break. Somehow things got busy and we didn't get to do all the activities I had planned, but it was fun! I wish I did this more with my kids! Strawberry Picking: One of our favorite annual spring activities. Buying Produce: At the strawberry place they have a great selection of fresh produce. The kids helped me pick out some new vegetables they wanted to try.

Living with Whine and Cheese. Thursday, May 3, 2012. On Top of the World! This past weekend was a special one for Whine 2. She is our most independent and unpredictable child so we are never quite sure what each event with her might bring. Friday night was the Spring Concert at her school. She waited all week to get to put on her fancy dress and big brother wanted to look his best too. No coincidence that we have since started watching episodes of The Greatest American Hero. Check out our great deals.
