Over the last few days we have done half days of work and half days of play. We saw how ukuleles are made at Kamaka Ukulele. And where pineapples are grown at the Dole Plantation. Over the last 2 days, Bade and I have chilled at five beaches, been to four viewpoints, kicked three corals and only skipped one hike (woke up too late : , oh…and we ran into one of Bade’s friends randomly when we were leaving the grocery store. Lo and Bade — Workin' Hard and Playin Hard. Hole In The Rock Road. Bade, his sister, brother-in-law, niece, and myself took an early summer road trip down Hole In The Rock Road near Escalante, UT. We had great weather and enjoyable, summer-style hikes. We even managed to have chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate Valentines Day while we were there. I definitely recommend taking a road trip down Hole In The Rock Road if you get the chance. Getting To Hole-In-The-Rock Road. Mile 0.0 Reset Odometer.

I'm not nearly as good at recording the moments I want to, so I'm hoping to make an attempt at catching up, making it easier to stay updated. Every time I get on here, I remember how much I enjoy looking at quality photos - not just tidbits on my phone. For the first time in what felt like forever, we went on a trip with a good majority of the family. One of our favorite destinations is Idaho, of course. We go motorcycle riding and hot-springing up and around Deadwood Reservoir. This is about m.e.

I have to acknowledge this. After those thousands of miles of driving - the one thing I really. Wanted was a good hot-springs soak. Mike was a mega-trooper to drive as far out of the way as we did to go to my favorite hot-spring. This is a beautiful area up in Idaho where in order to get to the pool, you have to wade through the cold-river first. It makes you appreciate the warm of that spring that much more, right? We seem to be having more and more moments where it seems as if life is standing still. And a part of me feels like we haven't skipped a beat, all at the same time. Just trying to catch up with some long-past-due photos. I've decided that it scares the daylights out of me that I might lose pictures someday. Thank you internet, for being the (potential) endless, free source of media storage. Its been a whopping 5 years of marriage! When we were first married, we had talked about where we wanted to be, and/or what we hoped to accomplish by year 5. Now that its here, and we have been extremely fortunate to have accomplished those things, life seems utterly surreal.

So, Mike's birthday is right after Christmas. Which royally sucks. Especially when you have a lazy wife who doesn't put forth much more effort after being exhausted of trying to figure out what kind of gifts to give him because she loathes shopping.
